October 14. were virtually completed today, It was announced this morn ing by C. D. Bean, chairman of the retail merchants' committee of the Jackson County Chamber of Com merce. The group will arrive In this city at 0:30 a. m. Wednesday and will be met by a committee of retail mer chants. At noon a forum luncheon will be held, at which time a local speaker will make a ,short talk re garding the resources of this eectlon. The Portland speakers who will mako ahort talks will be A. C. McMlcken. chairman, trade and commerce de partment, Portland Chamber of Com merce; E. Don Ross, president. Irwln Hodson company, and J. c. Zancker. president, Electrical Products corpo ration. It la expected that many of the visitors will play golf during tho afternoon, and no official program Is scheduled for the evening as It Is believed that many of them will be entertained by their Individual xrlenda. According to Portland Chamber of Commerce officials, the purpose of the tour Is to enable the Portland group to make a study of recent de velopments In this section. The group will stay In Medford overnight and proceed ' to Klamath' Falls the next day. - The luncheon at the Hotel Medford U open . to the public and reserva tions can be made by telephoning the chamber of commerce. FUNERAL SATURDAY Funeral services r for -Fred Lewis Travis, nged 63, wlio passed away suddenly at the Medford Armory last Monday evening, will be conducted from the Perl Funeral horns Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Est. O. O. Olbftoo officiating. Interment will take place in the Siskiyou Memorial park. His daugh ter will arrive from Nebraska Satur day morning to be In attendance for the service. SPECIAL GRAND SCANS EVIDENCE IN 13 KLAMATH CASES The special federal grand Jury was Impanelled by Federal Judge James Alger Fee this morning In federal court, with E. E. Gore of this city as foreman.
