today, It was announced this morn
ing by C. D. Bean, chairman of the
retail merchants' committee of the
Jackson County Chamber of Com
merce. The group will arrive In this city
at 0:30 a. m. Wednesday and will be
met by a committee of retail mer
chants. At noon a forum luncheon
will be held, at which time a local
speaker will make a ,short talk re
garding the resources of this eectlon.
The Portland speakers who will mako
ahort talks will be A. C. McMlcken.

According to Portland Chamber of
Commerce officials, the purpose of
the tour Is to enable the Portland
group to make a study of recent de
velopments In this section. The
group will stay In Medford overnight
and proceed ' to Klamath' Falls the
next day. -
The luncheon at the Hotel Medford

tions can be made by telephoning
the chamber of commerce.

suddenly at the Medford Armory last
