Adequate Land For State Capitol Urged PORTLAND, Ore,, Aug. 3. (AP City Commissioner O. R. Bean to day announced receipt of a letter from the Oregon building congress urging that the grounds of the new state capttol nt Snlem be adequate. The recommendation, in line with the stand of the Oregon Institute of Architects, stated It would be an Irreparable mistake" to erect the statchouse on a small tract of land. At the annual congregational meet ing in April, the Rev. R. S. Peterson was called as stated supply for one year and the Rev. Weston F. ( AP) All direct and work relief In Jose phine county will be stopped when the hop picking season starts August 15. The announcement was made by C. H. Demaray, chairman of the county relief committee, and by Earl B. Thompson, placement manager of the SERA. Last year the relief program was halted during the hop picking season and the seasonal employment took care of the relief load.
