' While congressmen in Washington pondered results of a 'proof-of-the- ple" exploitation of the argument between New York and Oregon mem bers as to which at a to produces the best apples. Miss Eleanor H. Moss, home demonstration agent for Litch field county, unfurled Connecticut's banner. "Let Oregon and New York furnish the congressmen with Inferior pies," she said. "If they wish to sample the best they shall have to come to Con necticut." The legislators yesterday forked their way through 78 pies which the Rochester chamber of commerce sent by plane after Oregon apples had been distributed. Miss Moss said Connecticut could 111 afford to send any pies to the capital. "There Is such a demand upon housewives to provide apple pies for their own families that any such move would be considered danger ous," she explained. fy it sVMM h! s QncpT 3 1 1 O-M 0UAR1 Cod.
