From present Indications the annual drive to procure these articles lor renovation will fall far short of the mark set for this year. These articles are repaired and painted by the city Firemen and distributed to the less fortunate youngsters whose parents are not able to afford the little things that bring Joy to the hearts of the kiddles. A rerdict giving Mrs. Knight 50 from Mrs. Dodson was returned by a JacksDn county Jury last month. No award waa returned against Dodson. Mrs. Knight was granted Judgment against Mrs. Dodson for 931, making the total $81. Judgment was ren dered against Mrs. Knight, In favor of. Dodson, for 6160. The two Judg ments, for and against, leave Mrs. Knight loser In the case by $79, Mrs. Knight sued the Dodson's for 2500. alleged damages, as the result of a neighborhood fuss last summer in which a child was slapped. Cod ding left last night for Portland to attend the annual meeting of the district attorneys of Oregon. He will Introduce a resolution calling upon the next session of the legislature to restore to .the Oregon Criminal Syn dicalism law the portion eliminated.
