Kay Woolen Mill Co, present! to southern Oregon people a new value to place on the WOOL FIBRE as is in daily use 1. WOOL, ii mankind' oldest protec tive fibre. Handsful of wool were grabbed from the backs of sheep by the ancients, and trod Into mats, to sleep on and under to protect them selves from the elements. WOOL,.. Is strong, a single fibre will sustain 17 units of weight; cop per wire the same thickness 18 units; aluminum J2; and gold 17. Wool is as strong as some metals and strong er than others. 3. WOOL, ha practically the same heat resisting qualities aa asbestos. Fundamentally then all woolen fa bric are most valuable as an insula tion, keeping the body heat at body temperature while outside tempera turea may be excessive. 4. WOOL, under normal conditions should contain 10 to 10 moisture to keep Its texture alive, but can ab sorb up to 60 moisture without be coming wet or uncomfortable to the feci. No other fibre has this qualification. WOOL, la that elastic that ft fibre mny be stretched 70 of Its length without breaking and return to Its original length. This feature atone gives wool Its long wearing ability. Career Closely Identified With Business Since Youth Good Judgment, Reliability Known to All 6. WOOL, la by nature acid, and be ing add la not easily affected by even dilute acids, but alkalies quickly change this acid state and Injure the fibres seriously. Bo be sure to use neutral soaps and cleaners. Frequent bniahlnga add life to all woolen fabrics. WOOL, has a soft ivory-like ap pearance In the fleece, a dull lustre, that la rich, firm and sturdy. In finer grades Is more silky than silk Itself. WOOL, by nature has a porous core. This condition gives the manu facturer additional provisions for giving fast colors in the pastel shsdea, and a permanency of beauty, Choose Kay Woolen Blankets Miulo in Oregon Salem, Orrgon IM. 1HS0. In Dress Relieved By Subtle Flare It you think a glimpse of fall fash ions doesn't maen a thing in your life, try It for the doldrums Here goes: There's a trend toward simplicity, but with a fllip a handsome fabric combination, a color trio, a subtle flare, an unexpected material. The silhouette continues slim, with skirts sometimes stashed a bit at the hem, but length unchanged. There's an easy width at the arms with smooth shoulder lines and yokes and sleeves often cut In one. I know you'll be glad that shirt waist dresses continue. Watch for them In wool ve res J oris with little fur ties and In metal thread crepes and wools. Forsaking all usual velvet ways, this material, too, hows to the style. There's a lot of talk about tunics This style appears In street cluothes and evening fashions. Here Is where a dash of Russian enter the mode In a tunic that flares or one with a side closing like a Russian smock. Sometimes the tunic line appears just at the back or merely across the front, keeping the slender contour. You're probably familiar with the new millinery story.
