"Home on the Range" died at the
state, hospital last night.
He was the Rev. Or. Charlea B.
Crandall, 74, retired Methodist minis
ter from Springfield, Ore.
The Rev. Dr. crandall, native Hsw
Yorker who came west via Kansaa In
1891, received but little compensation
for the old western song, or for num
eroua others he wrote.
KLAMATH FALLS, Aug. 3. (API
Parker Gray, accused of stealing a
quantity of furniture from Westflr,
Ore., was arrested here this morning
for Lane county authorities.

dents of Med ford and the Rogue
River valley. Being a mere boy when
his father moved to Medford, he
grew up here and his education and
schooling were obtained here.
He early acquired the Intricate de

he seemed naturally Inclined, and
several years before the passing of
his father, the responsibility of main
taining and keeping up to date a fast
growing bulsness was resting upon

today waa convicted of high treason
and sentenced to life imprisonment.
The sentence waa Imposed after a
brief trial before a court martial.
which had been generally expected
to sentence Hudl, a former officer In
the Austrian army, to death on the
gallows.
Three other Nazis were hanged this
week for Implication In the putsch.
Hudl waa wounded twice and deco
rated five tlmea for braverv In the
world war. He Is 41 years old.
The former officer created a sen
sation In his testimony by stating
that the federal employes of the chan
cellory did not have the frellng of
bing prisoners after nazls seized the
building. Most of them yelled "Hell
Hitler" when the putschlsts took
charge, he said.

CHICAGO, Aug. 3 (API Dr. Jerry
Kesrns of the Cook county coroner's
staff today said John DUllnger'a en
tire brain had been removed from
his body and subsequently destroyed
In the course of examination.
The doctor said that during the
autopsy the brain had been taken
out. Two-thirds of it was given to
Dr. Clarence W. Muehlberger, county
toxlcologtst, who broke It down Into
particles for his tests The remain
ing third, he related, was dlssovled
In chemicals and analyzed.
Dr. Kearns made his disclosures
after John Dllllnger. Sr., father of
the late bandit chief, announced he
would not order an exhumation and
would not take any legnl action
against Cook county authorities.
