Favors for each past matron were small gavels, made by the grandson of the worthy matron, Mrs. Addle Wil son, who waa responsible for the very beautiful evening's ceremony, the last during her year in office. At the regular session of the chap ter, which followed dinner, a beauti ful floral tribute waa given by the officers, with roll call of all past worthy matrons and patrons, and the placing of carnations as each of 62 names waa called. Clement home, are leav ing for southern California Imme diately after the close of the holiday season. Degree of Honor Plans Card Party. Members of Degree of Honor have announced plans for a card party to be held January 4 at the women club rooms In the city hall. Ep worth League Enjoy Skiing Party. Membera of the Epworth League of the 1st Methodist Episcopal church enjoyed skiing and tobogganing at ! Siskiyou Camp Thursday afternoon. J. Warner, to Maxwell Becker, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Becker of Caldwell, Idaho. The service will be read at 3 o'clock In the afternoon by Father Wm. B. Hamilton of St. Mark's Episcopal church at the Warner home on South Oakdale. Fragrant evergreens, emphasized by white tapers, will form the setting for the service, which will be attended by relatives and immediate friends of the bridal couple. The bride will be attended by her sister, Miss Margaret Warner, who la home from Oregon Stat college for the holidays, and Kenneth Overton of Nampa, Idaho, will be best man for the groom. Point Alumni Names Officers The Central Point Alumni held annual holiday banquet Thursday night at the Grange hall, with 62 members present. Speeches were made throughout the evening and a business meeting called by Alfred Taylor, president. Boswortb of Buffalo, who are visiting relatives In Klamath Palls, were guests here Thursday of Mr. and Mrs. O. V. Myers. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Bosworth, Jr., and children of Klamath Palls. The Bosworths are leaving January 2 for Los Angeles, where they will sail for New York. Mrs. Duanne Gives Christmas Party Mrs. Verna Duanne was hostess to a group of friends Christmas night at her home on South Central, honoring Mr. and Mra. Arthur Olson and daughter Es telle of San Francisco. Cards occupied the early evening with Mrs. E. W. Warfteld winning the prize for high score and William Drumm the consolation prize. The Alpha Delta class of the Christian church Bible school held Its annual Christmas party In the recreational hall of the church Thurs day afternoon with about 30 mem bers in attendance. Bridge Club Enjoys Christmas Party Members of the Prtday Bridge club met Friday at the Hotel Medford for luncheon, - then continued to the home of Mrs. George Alden for bridge snd a Christmas party, at which there was an exchange of gifts. Prizes at cards were won by Mrs. A. F. Stennett, Mrs. J. H. Butler and Mrs. Maude West. New Year's Reception At Baptist Church A New Year's reception and dinner : will be held at the First Baptist j church Wednesday, January 3 at 6:30. The reception will be for Rev. and j Mrs. C. L. Cutler and all new mem bers of the church. Including those who have joined the church since May 1. The committee will furnish the bread, drink and dessert, others are asked to bring two covered dishes. A good program is promised. Mistletoe Club Has Meeting The Mistletoe club met with Mrs. Joe Klngsley at her home Wednesday on the Midway road for the last meeting of the year. Election of of ficers was held. The bride, who was attired In an afternoon dress of deep blue, lace trimmed, carried a corsage of rosebuds and lilies of the valley and was at tended by her sister, Mrs. Paul Rey nolds Woods of Medford. William Turner of Ashland was best man for the groom. Among guests attending the cere mony were: Mr. and Mrs. Ira J. Pbelpa of Rogue River; Mr. and Mr. L. H. Pythian Club Enjoys Cards The Pythian club met at the nome of Mrs. Yarbrough last Tuesday eve ning. 600 was played during the eve ning, high score going to Mrs. H. Klein. Williamson Kindergarten To Reopen Tuesday. Mrs. Margaret Huntoon Williamson will reopen her kindergarten at 109 South Orange street Tuesday, she an nounced yesterday. With the opening of the new term on that day new pupils will also be accepted for en trance. Mrs. Young, Hostws At Dinner Party Mrs. Geo. B. Young of Orchard Home, had a dinner party at noon on Christmas day. The guest of honor was Mrs. Mary Dartt of Greenfield, Iowa, from the old home town of the hostess. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Homer Wakefield and baby, Mary Ann, and a friend from Grants Pass: Rev. Eaton and family. Mrs. Jas. Bowling, Mrs. Bryson, and the Drs. Carlow of Medford. The afternoon was spent in con versation, music, and examining old photographs and heirlooms. Other callers during the afternoon were Mrs. Shaffer and family and Mrs. Taylor and her three daughters. Bro phy, who Invited 66 guests to a for mal dancing party at St. Mark's Guild hall Thursday evening. Guests were received by Mr. and Mrs. Brophy and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Holmes. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Moran, Miss Gladys Holmes, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Ashpole and Mr. A. B. Rosenbaum. Students of Junior high school, high school and St. Mary's Academy were present and dancing was inter spersed with a number of features. Jack Moran entertained with several tap dances, Mis Mary Ann Gates with a vocal solo and Robert Holmes with song and dance numbers. Among guests home from southern schools attending were Messrs. I Rogue River Folk Enjoy Dinner ROGUE RIVER. Mrs. W. A. Jones was hostess at Christmas dinner Sun day evening at her home at Rogue River. A gaily lighted Christmas tree was the center of attraction and the rooms were adorned with greens and tinsel. Place cards were miniature Christmas trees In red and green holders. Four Generations Attend Dinner Party. The home of Mr. and Mrs. P .J. Newman of this city was the scene Christmas day of a four-generation dinner, when they had as guests, Mrs. Newman's parents. Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Beeson of South Oakdale; their three daughters and one son, and two grandchildren. Present were: Mr. and Mrs. Beeson, Mr. and Mrs. Newman. Mr. and Mrs. Russel Patterson of San Francisco. Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Alexander of Portland, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Reich stein of this city.
