Former Officers
Honoring past worthy matrons and
past worthy patrons, Reames Chap
ter, O. E. 6., entertained Wednesday
evening at 6:30 dinner In the Ma
sonic temple. Covers were arranged
for 34 honor guests at the attractive
table, where a color scheme of pur
ple waa emphasised In a center piece
of violets, surrounded by tapers of
tne same color.
Favors for each past matron were
small gavels, made by the grandson
of the worthy matron, Mrs. Addle Wil
son, who waa responsible for the
very beautiful evening's ceremony,
the last during her year in office.
At the regular session of the chap
ter, which followed dinner, a beauti
ful floral tribute waa given by the
officers, with roll call of all past
worthy matrons and patrons, and the
placing of carnations as each of 62
names waa called.

Miss Winifred Warner, eldest daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Warner, to
Maxwell Becker, son of Mr. and Mrs.
E. W. Becker of Caldwell, Idaho. The
service will be read at 3 o'clock In
the afternoon by Father Wm. B.

Oakdale.
Fragrant evergreens, emphasized by

the service, which will be attended
by relatives and immediate friends
of the bridal couple.

tap dances, Mis Mary Ann Gates with
a vocal solo and Robert Holmes with
song and dance numbers.
Among guests home from southern
schools attending were Messrs. Law
rence Bragg and Granger Kenly.
Music for dancing was played by
Ted Stone's orchestra.

day evening at her home at Rogue
River. A gaily lighted Christmas tree
was the center of attraction and the
rooms were adorned with greens and
tinsel. Place cards were miniature
Christmas trees In red and green
holders. Seated at the table were:

Mrs. Lee Hug, Mr. and Mrs. E. W.

Four Generations
Attend Dinner Party.
The home of Mr. and Mrs. P .J.
Newman of this city was the scene
Christmas day of a four-generation
dinner, when they had as guests, Mrs.
Newman's parents. Mr. and Mrs. R.
B. Beeson of South Oakdale; their
three daughters and one son, and two
grandchildren.
Present were: Mr. and Mrs. Beeson,
Mr. and Mrs. Newman. Mr. and Mrs.
Russel Patterson of San Francisco.
Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Alexander of
Portland, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Reich
stein of this city. Benton Newman,
home from the University of Oregon,
and the Newmans' two grandsons,
Russell Patterson, Jr., snd Robert
Alexander.

Plans Guest Day

hold guest day January 8 In the

Roberts Leave for "
Rose Bowl Game.
Mr. and Mrs. O. M. Roberts left
Friday night for Pasadena, where
they will attend the Rose Bowl game,
and visit their son-in-law and dau
ghter, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Maentz.

Recital Today.
Students of Victor Levy will be
presented this afternoon In a recital
at the First Christian church. The
program will begin at 2 o'clock and
a large attendance Is expected.
