John Smith has been having quite a time fighting the army worms, which raided his garden, but by spraying with arsenate of load and persistent wntchfulness, they have sbout got rid of them. Walt, where they tried to devour all her flowers and house plants, but owing to her yard being surrounded by chicken lots, they soon msde short work of the worms. Mrs. 8. A. Mr. MoKlnlay has taught science and mathematics at the Vincent Hill school In India, for seven years, and Is now on a year's furlough.
