Then, alas, the line slumped Into that sickening clack that tells of a lost fish and Rainbow began deject edly to retrieve the line to see how much tsekle the fish had left him. Suddenly the line again became taut with an Increasing new tension. The fish was still on and the fight began new I With great care the fish was guid ed Into quiet water Into the eddy along the swift run. Rainbow took line as swiftly as the reel would work lert for another flashing run If the royal steelhead made another dash for liberty. Yard by yard the line earn to the reel nearer and nearer came the fish to the beach.
