Revue, "Two Keet High," prologue of which opened at 8:30 ut the Medford nrmory was pre ceded by the last social uft'alr of the Medford program, the Informal dlntrlat banquet ut Hotel Medford, which look the form of a general get-together for members of alt clubs. Miss Cecilia M. Reyler, re tiring slate president, presided. One of the most clever features nf the prog rum was a ukolele nov elty stunt put on by a group from Medford's club, composed of Mrs. Elsie Brown, Mrs, Dorothy Bau com, Mrs. Grucu Vohs, Misses Edna Mae Wells, Clarice Benschoter, Marlon Moreer and Winifred Walk ed Dressed In befitting cos tumes they entered the banquet room playing and singing, "Hall, tear Old Medford, You'ro the Best Town on the Coast,' and several other popular songs. M Others numbers on the program were: Violin solo . by John R. knight, Jacksonville, accompan ies!, MIhs Ruth (Severance; reports of. district chalnnnn, north Wil lamette, Miss Augusta Halm, east orn, MIsh Jane Olson; group Hongs, Mrs. Be u luh Belle Smith, Jlllls- boro; south Willamette, Miss Josephine Bothman; Coos Bay, MtfM Bernlce Mlrmsoul; southern, Mrs. Led a B. Parker, Several numbers were sung by the male quartet of Grants Pass, composed of Krod Wallace, Samuel Moore, Karl Bennett, Fred Thorn burgh; accompanist, Mr. Htralee. Business men don't be alarm ed There's a littlts song ringing In the minds of Medford folk to day, and it goes something like this: "Put your feet on the desk, Strotch your arms out wide; i Be non-chalant, let the details slide." I So if feminine assistants are 1 found In a strange position tomor row morning well they Just went to the show last night and they may be heeding the advice, which ran through the spnrklfng Three Art revue, "Two Feet High,"! presented at the armory under' the direction of Tom Hwem. I Mary Greinor Kidly, inspired by the message of Dr. Olgn Slast- j ny, wrote the clever drama and j Jeunesse Butler composed the songs and music, which added ern-! phasls to the cry for fulfillment! of another need in "woman's , emancf patlon." When the show was over the audlenco was con vinced not only that much could be gained If women would Kit their feet on a IiuhIiichm levi-l with their heads but that Medford has some' real' artists In music and drama and the Interpretation of both. For the author and the compos er nro not going to get all the praise, although H seeniH that too much could scarcely bo said of the one act musica 1 comedy, Mary and Sally" (ns we know them) prepared for tho enter tainment of guests of the state convention of Muni nous and Pro fessional Women's clubs. We're glad they decided to present "Two Feet High" In the armory and let Hie public In too many people would otherwise have been cheat ed. Among the surprises of the show we're going to list the acro batic tap dance given by Douglas Fox and Da Noro tlilliland's In terpretation of tho love number, "Take Time to Bo Happy," sung by William Kirkpatrlck. Because we didn't know, In spite of all we've heard, that Medford really as natural as the tired and over would evoke so many encores from an Intelligent audience. We only wish there had been more. Hoctor Fox, who played the part of Danny, tho office boy, who would have preferred to keep his feet on the desk all the time, also made his local debut last night. He has participated In amateur theatricals In Portland and they trained him well up there. To get down to the old favor ites Jo Murray Hostel was quite as anturnl as 'tho tired and over worked business 1 woman as she has often been In more vivacious parts. Versatility Is to bo added to the many qualities for which she has been admired on the stage. After she got her feet on the desk tho rest of the office force, didn't have a prayer. Dixie Ambler Hnrvey, was quite lovable ns the flapper Sally PnntK, SIX KILLED WHEN -BLAST EXPLODES UNION. W.
