The people of Centra Point were sorry to hear of Will Scott pass ing away last Thursday in Los An geles. Mr. Scott Is a son of Mrs. Elizabeth Scott and a brother of Mas. J. II. Hamrick, Mrs. (i. C. Dun can and E. E. Scott of Central Point. Mr. Scott lived in this vici nity several years where he has many friends, who extend sympa thies to the bereaved families. Mrs. Howard Mayt'leld returned home Sunday from Portland where she has been for some time to be near Mr. Mayfield who underwent an. operation lor appendicitis. Mr. .Mayiield is recovering nicely. Miss Nell Carter visited friends In Ashland Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Jones and daughters Vivian and Oeraldine spent Sunday at the Ferguson springs. Mrs. Everett Faher entertained honoring her sisters Mrs. 11. A. Newnion's birthday last Sunday. Her guests were Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Newmon and Mrs. J. W. New man, all of Klamath Falls. The O. E. S. held their last meet ing of the season Tuesday evening in the Masonic hall. Three candi ' dates were initiated into the order. The hall was beautifully decorated. After the business was disposed of an enjoyable evening was spent and delicious refreshments served by the ladies. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Miller nnd Ron Orth visited at the J. B.
