II. lternler was iwidly damaged late last night by a fire started to cover, up a rob bery. Thieves broke down the rear door of the building and with an augur bored holes around the locks of intervening doors - so that thy could reach the front part of the building, where they stole five suits of clothes and nineteen suit lengths of bolt goods. Boxes of trimmings, kindling and papers were then piled up in two parts of the frame building nnd n fire started. Fortunately, however, the blaze was quickly discovered and extinguished before nny great, amount of damage was done. - . Tracks found in the alley way in the' rear of tho building indicated that there had been two automo biles backed up to the shop. A few minutes before the fire two cars were seen to come out of the alloy way and go south at a rapid rate of! speed. ' . Officers are today Investigating aj report that two men stopped at .a roadside stand yesterday and en-1 deavored to sell suit goods. It is possible.
