Tho men who wrote this play, one of them a veteran of the world war, entirely abandoned the long estab lished trudltlons of the stage, and in stead of writing from the standpoint of tho recruiting office, wrote from the standpoint of the truth and sound druma. The result naturally Is strong, too strong for those who want to fight their wars with plumed knights und beautiful ladles, instead of with leather necks," and ladies who aro I not very beautiful, and not at all good. I Hut for thoso who like drutnutiu realism, and llko the truth, whether it be pleasant or unpleasant, "What Price Glory" Is a Joy und an Inspira tion, and tho performance lust night is something for them to cherish und remember. Jn a discusslonu of this play there is always an argument over the lib eral use of profunlty some of the unmentionables being employed rath er llberully. Why take the Lord's name In vain so frequently?
