Hart, said to have been an associate of Smith, authorities hero were directing a search for theso men !n the hopes of clearing the mystery surrounding the shooting to death of Thomas Dnvery, Kelso editor, Julio 19. The last clue to tho whereabouts of Smith was a report that ho had been seen two weeks ana at The Dalles, Ore. A reward of $500 hud been of fered for smith's arrest. Evidence which led to the charges against Smith ahd 1 lart, and to the arrest for investigation of W. L. Thompson who was taken into cus tody near Oak ridge.
