o 1) PAGE EIGHT MEDFORD MAIL TRIBUNE. MEDFORD, OREGON, TUESDAY, AffRIL 2S, 1925 FOREST WEEK IS HE TO PLAN FOREST PROTECTION The loctil foretrt aorvlee Ihsuph the following notico nnent Forest Week: Where to o during the coming bu miner week-ends, or where to upend that vacation, 1h often much debated, boruuno there are not a few good places near thin locality. When it is hot, many of uh wish we wero up In the cool, wooded higher htee8. Hhall we go to Crater Lake, JJluinoml Iuke, lako of the 'Woods, JSoda Springs, Huckleberry City, or do we know Home good placet on any of the hundred or more trtreums and Hmaller lakes? Some will try to take litem all in, if it takes all Kummer. This is American Forest Week and a good time to plun that vacation, us forest protection organizations are distributing maps, information and literature. The setting aside of this week should bring to everyone's attention tho vnst, unneeesHnry wastngo of for ests and streams. We need addition al places rather than fewer to go to. because many of us want different Kcenery for cuch outing, and then too the residents and visitors are ever in creasing. Watch the other fellow for careless ness with fire, so that all recreation seekers will report good outings, and incidentally the woods work of road and trail building, cruising, logging, slash piling, etc., will not be charged to fire fighting. Those outsiders who spend their sum mors here have not seen all, and mnny of the residents can find un familiar pluces of Interest near home.
