100.000 acres of most vnlnnblo oil land

And that, out of tho above-men
tioned oil land a cholco 6.000 acre
drilling block in and near Eugeno nnd
Cottage Grovo, Lano Co., Ore., has
been selected and set apart for the
Guaranty Oil Cd., of Oregon.
And thnt, in hundreds of places on
said drilling block, oil and gnB seen
ages havo boon found with such won
derful showings as are rarely found
only in the best oil fields on earth.
And that, on snld drilling block per
fect anticlines, domes, and oil struc
tures are plainly visible.
And that, the finest pnrafflne oil
shale rmpplngs nre in many places
visible from the surface
And that, many water welts on snld
land contain so much oil that the cat
tle rofuno to drink the water from the
same.
And thnt, In several places gas. Is
oozing up out of tho ground suffi
cient so that It wi.ll burn from tho sur
face. And that, In pits for tho two wells
now being drilled on said laud, clmu
ogue
shells, oyster shells, marine and MIo
cene shells with Oligocene sea forma
tlons havo been discovered in large
quantities, showing that even these
highest oil domes were once the ocoan
bod and have beon pushed up by In
ternal gns preHBure, caused by said oil
until these Bhells have been shoved
to tile very top of said domes?.
And that, as far as we have drilled
the oil well at Eugene, wo have passed
through tho OllKocono sea formation,
the marine and Miocene shales and
shells, the regular oil "crystals, tho
green and blue oil shnlo with some
regular copper showings, and have
already passed through 400 feet of par
nfflne wax red bed nil shale and have
already pierced four Indicative oil
sands carrying a sufficient amount of
high grade pnrafflne Petroleum to ab
solutely toll the story that there must
bo a great body and pool of live oil
nearby underneath the same with suf
ficient gns pressure to force so much
of It so high up into said pil dome.
And thnt. as far as tho well has been
drilled at Cottago Grove, or down to
a depth of about 400 feet, the same
formations nnd Indications have been
eucountored, showing that wo are on
tho same or similar oil formation struc
ture. And that, Evory formation of every
kind and nature, including the hard
and deep cuppings through which we
have pnssed, all indicate nnd give the
best possible nssurancn of tho certain
ty of striking high grade oil In pay
ing quantities in the very nar future,
yes, almost at any unexpected hour.
And thnt, the general Geological
tyiKigrnphy of Willamette Valley, in
closed as it Is between the Coast
Rungo nnd the Cascades with Its many
uninenlioned Geological earmarks of a
coming oil field are so manifest that
at leust thirty oil companies nre now
operating or beginning operations In

Geologist of national reputation, state
that samo geological conditions exlut
here as are found In oil-producing
fields." ' .
1. C. Livingston says: "Oil may
bo discovered at any time In Oregon."
Mr. Campbell says: "In my career
of over thirty years as n geologist, I
have examined mnny proven oil fields
of tho world. The sumo geological
conditions existing in Orogon nre pro
ducing oil In other places. Why not
in Oregon?"
We have In our possession hundreds
of letters written to us from all parts
of Willamette Valley, containing testi
monials to the fact that seepages and
surface indications have been discovered-
and are still to be seen by any
one who may be directed to them by
those who know where they are.

A prominent oil expert, nnd head
driller, who has had twenty-four years
of experience in the oil fields, has stnt
ed In a lotter written to Dr. David Eu
gene Olson, that:
"From what I have seen of tho
known oil-bearing , shales and anti
clines and slnclines, together with the
genorul toinigrnphy of the Willamette
Vnlley, anyone Is amply justified in
drilling for oil here."
In a letter written to David Eugone
Olson, dated June 22, 1923, W. A. Sage,
of San Francisco, nil experienced oil
operator, certifies thnt:
"The lands held under lease by tho
Guaranty Oil Company near Eugeno
have been examined by my expert, Mr.
Howard R. Ilurlhurt, as to their oil con
tents, and he pronounces them. In his
oplnkm, good for very productive
wells, nnd predicts thnt the well at
Eugeno will come In with over 1000
hnrrels n dny of the very highest grav
ity or oil."
Robert F. Campbell, Geologist and
n graduate from tho best American
technical schools and also from the
mineralogy and paleontology, and ge
ology nt Edinburgh ITniversity, with
thirty-two years' experlenco In the oil
fields in a letter duted Sept. 1, 1923.
declares:
"Oregon Is fortunate In more ways
than ono by reason of activities at Eu
gene. 1 might wrlto a lengthy techni
cal report as to the period of time In
which the uplift occurred, name the
different formations exposed, tell of
the different kinds of petroleum struc
tures, and enter into the study of pale
ontology, nnd give the analysis of the
different sands exposed. 1 might class
ify the fossil life, and determine the
ago. -Rut suffice It to say that tho
formations which have already been
drilled through show the possibilities
for the discovery of oil in Oregon."

Grove has been drilled down to about
400 feet In only seven weeks and the
Eugene well Is now Hearing the 1,000
foot mark.
Fourth: Larger drilling equipment
has recently been purchased as neces
sary for tho deeper drilling which will
enable the drillers to, from nqw on,
proceed with great rapidity.
Fifth: Over three hundred and fifty
certificate holders have been enlisted
as friends nnd real helpers who have
so far enabled the Ouaranty Oil Co., of
Orogon to promptly pay for all of the
above operations and equipment.
And that, so far all of the above op
erations have been successfully car
ried on without $1.00 of salary being
paid to any of Its officers or directors
for any work done In such capacity.

of Oregon, which with what interest
they have In the Guaranty Oil Com

come worth more millions than what
