On Tuesday evening, May 15, a vocal concert is to be given at the Phoenix school auditorium, consisting of popular and classical solos, quar tets, etc., by some of the best singers In Medford and Phoenix, full an nouncement of which will be mada later. This is for tho benefit of the Clyde hall piano fund and will be one of tho treats of the season. Popular prices, 35c and 20c, will prevail; and selections given which all will enjoy. 'JVeii; Bottling Works Installed in City Snlder's Dairy & Produce Co. have added a bottling department to their plant on North Bartlett nnd are now supplying the trade with the latest drinks, through the fountains and other soft drink parlors, as well as by the case for family use. They recently installed the latest bottling and labeling machinery as well as sanitary bottle washing ma chine, also new bottles, cases," etc.. Edwin Priegnetz, an expert chemist and bottler, who has had years of ex perience in somo of tho largest bot tling works in tho country, has charge of this department. John Snider, senior member of the firm, Bays: "Wo have ndded this new department to meot tho demands ol our fi)atrons and because we believe the territory tributary to Medford is sufficient to support the new department." They formerly lived here and after trying tho northern part of the state, Canada and California, havq decided there Is no place like the Rogue River valley. Mr. Bonney has accepted a position on the Blackford ranch and they have moved into the house lately vacated by the Omer Porter family. ilrs. W. B. Harris has just returned from a ten weeks visit with relatives. Mr. and Mrs E. J. Stewart of Mc- Mlnnvllle, ore. Sho nlso spent couple of -days n't Salem as guest of Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Clarke. The Nichols families and other rel atives, including the Boardmans nnd their guests, numbering twenty in all, motored to Ashland late Sunday afternoon and enjoyed a picnic sup per in tho park. It was a delightful evening for such nn outing and was much enjoyed by all. Mr. and Mrs. .lames Boardman havo been entertaining as house guests Mr. and Mrs. Billy Witcber of Cottage Grove and Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Allen and children of'Suther- lln. The Witehers are former resi dents of this valley nnd are well known here. Mrs. Witcher is a sis ter of Mrs. Boardman. W. K.
