It will be a Ford. This refers to the ambulance for the Community Hospi tal, the choice having been decided upon by a committee of five, including three physicians and two women. In making a choice the committee report ed that "The Ford offer was not. only better financially, but the dimensions of the car offered are best fitted fcr ambulance purposes." The ambulance will be equipped with sedan springs, Hoscli magneto, shock absorbers, and dome lights. The color will be either ivory white or gray, and an appropri ate red cross with lettering will be placed on the sides. The local Ford people also offer the city tho use of its garage as a storage place for ambu lance for ono year, and during the daytime will furnish a driver to take the ambulance anywhere it Is ordered to go. In addition the Ford represen tative here, tho Harrison Bros., sub scribed liberally to tho ambulance fund. Salvage on a colossal scale was exemplified hero last week, when local high school boys ended a cam paign which resulted in tho harvesting of over twelve tons of waste paper, a product which will bring five dollars per ton, and the proceeds will be cov ered Into the athletic treasury, which experienced a serious financial Jolt last fall incident to football ventures that did not pan out very successfully from the box office point of view. In all probability as much more paper wasto is "lying dormant" around town, Btuft which should be utilized to advantage, the paer mills being In readiness to nccept all offerings. The local drive which yielded such gener ous results was in line with a state wide campaign suggested by tho state superintendent of schools. Practically a carload was the output here, Includ ing newspapers and magazines, and when it is tnken Into consideration that any given community can supply ns much, tho amount of paper wuuto throughout tho state is simply prodig- - ! : Tonight ' tlieatre and that It comes here, pre sented exactly as It Is being played in New York and with a cast of unusual excellence which includes Lizzie Evans, John Harrington, Josephine Morse, Gretchen Thomas, Herbert Delmore, Harry La Court, Joseph M.
