O'Flanagan, Joseph O'Doh erty and Peter Golden, the jrish dele gates, who are-oh. a mission to the United States in behalf of Ireland's rights to. a republic arrived Thursday to be' the guests of Father' Powers. Father O'Flanagan was the vice-president of the bail (the Irish parliament). Mr.;G'Doherty was the youngest mem ber of the parliament and has under gone much, suffering . for Ireland's cause. An ol! concession covering 11,000,000 acres of land adjoining tho fields of old established American companies in tbo Tamplco and Tuxpnm district has been granted n Los Angeles syndi cate by tho Mexican government, ac cording to a story published today by the Los Angeles Times. Tho syndicate nnnounced ll would go into the .Mexican field and operate under Mexican article 27 and with a provision that forty per cent of tho i.tokh production go to the Mexican government. WHITE The news has Just reached Modford of tho death of a former well-known and highly re spected citizen, (ioorgo W. White, who died December 11th, at hlB home 203 S. Chester St., Pnsadenn, Calif. HIS wifo and two sons, Dr. F. M. White nnd Kirk White of Los Ango les. were with him at tho tlmo of his death. Bio Is also survived by Edith Delzell, Mrs. Clarice Roberts and Mrs. Oeorgla Shlves, nil of Klamath Falls and Mrs. Ruth Cosboon. Mrs. Hottic Immel of Stockton, Calif. ' ins. There were but two or three of the lawyers in the district who failed to attend, so universally is Judge Calkins respected and esteem ed by the bar of this Judicial district The occasion Is one which will cer tainly be long remembered by the attornoys and . :the retiring circuit Judge, and tho good will manifested toward him by all tho lawyers who have practiced before htm during a period of twelve years is a heritage that ho will always bo able to look back upon with pride and satisfac tion.
