Rev. M. O'Flanagan, Joseph O'Doh
erty and Peter Golden, the jrish dele
gates, who are-oh. a mission to the
United States in behalf of Ireland's
rights to. a republic arrived Thursday
to be' the guests of Father' Powers.
Father O'Flanagan was the vice-president
of the bail (the Irish parliament).
Mr.;G'Doherty was the youngest mem
ber of the parliament and has under
gone much, suffering . for Ireland's
cause. ' Mr.' Golden -is a personal
friend of Eamon de Valera. They are
en route' toJ the' convention of the
American' Recognition of the Republic
of Ireland society at Sail Francisco on

tions on the agenda of the nil-Russian
congress which opened here today. .

centralizing governmental, affairs . in
Moscow, which now controls the' mili
tary, financial, railroad, food and for
eign affairs, while the republics gov
ern in local matters only.
Among the delegates from all parts
of the country are 120 from the Far
Eastern republic. This group Is head
ed by M. Janson, former minister of
foreign affairs. The congress will last
