District Highway Engineer Hodgmnn said this morning that there was no trouble with the Pacific highway tu tho south, as the road Is being kept ! clear of snow over the Slskiyous by the state highway department, and that there have been few complaints. However the mountain highway on this side is icy caused by the alternate melting and freezing, and all autos negotiating the Slskiyous should be equipped with chains. Hank were passed to the county authorities for their opinion. Resolutions were adopted showing the appreciation of southern Oregon to the Multnomah and Imperial Hotels of Portland for the splendid publicity being given to Crater Lake.
