JOIN THE CHAMBER
The Chamber Ambassadors are one of the most
visible groups in the community! From doing a
groundbreaking or ribbon cutting for a new
business, to welcoming dignitaries, they
represent the city of Boardman and the
Chamber! If you are interested in joining this
elite group of volunteers, call us right now! We
will need ambassadors to help welcome visitors
to Boardman at a function on Thursday evening,
September 24 from 5:30 to 6 p.m. at the SAGE
Center. Details will be sent to those who are on
the Ambassador list!
Northeast Oregon Economic Development
District (NOEDD), in coordination with the EOVA
( Eastern Oregon Visitors Association ) and Travel
Oregon, was recently awarded a USDA ( United
States Department of Agriculture ) Rural
Business Development Grant ( RBDG ) to further
develop agri-tourism in two of Eastern Oregon’s
sub-regions: the Northeast ( Baker, Union, &
Wallowa counties ) and Oregon’s Rugged
Country - Umatilla and Morrow Counties . All
project activities must be completed by
November 30, 2016. Kalie Davis – SAGE
Center Manager and Emily Waite – Boardman
Chamber of Commerce Executive Director both
serve on the EOVA Board of Directors and will be
directly involved in this project. If you are
interested in getting involved, contact either one
of them for more information.
