Shipment CHRISTIAN SCIENCE CHURCHES (C OD the Preserver of Man" U was the subject of the Les son-Sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday, Dec ember 12. The Golden Text was, “The Lord is faithful, who shall stab- lish you, and keep you from evil” (II Thes. 3:3). Among the citations which com prised the Lesson-Sermon was the following from the Bible: “And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light: to go by day and night” (Exodus 13:21). The Lesson-Sermon also in- eluded the following correla- tive passages from the Christian Science textbook, “Science and Health with Key to the Scrip tures” by Mary Baker Eddy: “Hu man codes, scholastic theology, material medicine and hygiene, fetter faith and spiritual under standing. Divine Science rends asunder these fetters, and man's birthright of sole allegiance to his Maker asserts itself” (p. 226).
