McCoy left Monday for Jefferson, North Caroli na, for a two months’ visit with rel atives. Mrs. Fred Reiks was taken to Pendleton for medical treatment Saturday. The ladies of the Presbyterian church met at the church Saturday afternoon and organized a Ladies Aid. Meetings will be held the sec ond Thursday afternoon each month. The April meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. W. C. Isom. Any, one interested is cordially invited to attend. Mr. and Mrs. Branden are ill with the flu. George Hux from Monument, Ore., was a business visitor in this vici nity last week. Mr. Sparks enjoyed a visit from his son from Albany, Ore., Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Wilson and aughter motored to Freewater Sun day. Chas. McCoy from Imbler, Ore., visited relatives over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Emery Bedwell visi ted their son at Stanfield Sunday. Yvonne Kendler of Umatilla visi ted her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. Isom several day? last week. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Kendler were inner guests of the Isoms Sunday. Batie Rand is going about on crutches due to an injury he re ceived while in Portland. Mrs. Raymond Hoagland was taken to Hermiston Saturday for medical treatment. The Presbyterian Sunday school had a large attendance Sunday. A splendid song service with piano and cornet music 1>y Miss Vonna Jones, Lucille Jones and Laverne Lamor- eaux, preceeding lesson hour, was one of the interesting features. Ev eryone who has not a church home in this vicinity is cordially invited to attend and take part in the ser vices. A fellowship meeting was held at the Pentecostal church Monday. Rev. Harchart of Pendleton, Rev. Spiesz of Spray, Ore., Sister Neva Bedwell, pastor at Stanfield, and Rev. Carlsen of La Grande assisted with the services. Moore spent the week end in Irrigon with Mrs. Joyce Smith. Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Wattenburger and children spent the week end in John Day valley.
