Rutherford and Frank moved to Stanfield Fri day where they have rented a place for the coming year. Mrs. McDermott, with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Bevis, left last week for a trip through California. The seventh and eighth graders enjoyed a skating party at the skat ing rink in Hermiston Friday even ing. Mrs. George Nowell of Alaska is visiting at the Ed Johnson home. Mrs. Johnson Is Mr. Nowell's moth er. A. L. Blayden of Portland is visit ing at the C. G. Blayden home. The Blaydens are brothers. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Brown left last week for a visit in Walla Walla. Thursday, Nov. 19, they attended the celebration of the SOth wedding Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Brown. There are six children in the family and all were expected to attend. This will be the first time all had assem bled together since the 60th anni versary. Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Bates went to Longview this week for a visit with their son. Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Miller left by train Wednesday, Nov. 11, for Calif ornia where they will visit most of the winter. L. Schnitzer left Wednesday with a load of brooms to be sold in Port land. Truman Messenger and family and Uram Messenger and family of Portland were over night guests at the E. T. Messenger home, i Mrs. E. T. Messenger returned to Port land with the Uram Messengers for a short visit. A Christian Endeavor party was held at the church Friday evening. George Scarlett from Boardman was a business visitor here Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Emmett McCoy are visiting their daughter. Mrs. Jay Berry and family at The Dalles. Mrs. J. A. Graybeal is visiting her daughter in Portland. Alvin Strader from Portland is visiting his mother, Mrs. Bessie Strader. Rev. Rice held services at the Presbyterian church Monday even ing. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brace and son Bobby visited relatives in The Dalles Saturday and Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Adams are the parents of a baby boy born at their home Sunday evening. Mrs. Nora Wilson is staying with Mrs. Adams but will be relieved by Mrs. Edith soon. Mr. and Mrs. Knighten from the Wallowa valley with their family have moved to the Vancleve place which they purchased recently. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Eddy have moved from the Frank Leicht cabins to the Clair Caldwell place east of the Shell Service Station. Mr. and Mrs. Eddy were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Williams Sunday evening. Russell McCoy, Lyle Eddy, Earl Leach and Roscoe Williams played a practice game of basketball with the Umatilla high school team Sun day. Charles Seargent from Idaho visi ted his sister, Mrs. Lyle Eddy, from Monday until Thursday. He was en route to Portland.
