Wolff is stepping down after 22 years at the Cooperative. Members of the audience had a prime rib dinner and then heard humorous stories about the former CEO. Missionaries to speak at church Boardman to expand water and sewer project The Radi family from Argentina will speak at the Nazarene Church Saturday. The Nazarene Church will be hosting missionaries Carlos and Robin Radi on February 8 at 2 p.m. A time of fellowship with finger foods and beverages will follow. Carlos and Robin Radi are global missionaries for the Church of Nazarene, serving in Argentina. The City of Boardman is beginning talks to expand water and sewer projects in Boardman. The expansion will ensure reliability in the city’s water and wastewater systems and improve fire flow. In other city business, the Boardman Police De- partment congratulated Lo- ren Dieter on his promotion from Lieutenant to Captain. Captain Dieter grew up in Boardman and raised his family there. On January 7, the Boardman City Council voted on three resolutions. Resolution 1-2020 to extend development in- centives which expired on December 31, 2019. In an effort to encourage new construction in Boardman, the city council passed a resolution that tempo- rarily waives water and sewer System Develop- ment Charges (SDC’s) for a period of twelve months. The resolution waives the SDC’s on a sliding scale based upon the number of Equivalent Dwelling Units built. All property owners or developers of residential or commercial property within the City limits are eligible for the waivers. The waivers will expire on December 31, 2020. Resolution 2-2020 to accept a broadband stra- tegic plan for the City of Boardman. The strategic objective of this plan is to obtain broadband speed and reliability necessary for economic and community vitality, enhanced public safety, educational oppor- tunities and quality of life for all Boardman residents and businesses. Resolution 3-2020 to adopt a new consolidated fee schedule to govern fees for city services.
