We had a huge group o f about 125 campers, counselors, directors, cooks, and helpers this year, from June 29th to July 1st. Wow! The biggest job is getting the food UP to camp! Pam Schmidt, you are an expert shopper, o rganizer, and food packer, not to mention a wonderful cook! Whoever w o u ld have th o u g h t o f SQUARE biscuits to save tim e? Thanks for baking the cookies beforehand, too, Pam! Tiffany McCurry, you are amazing! I loved your ideas and shortcuts for cooking and 1 think that having a "quick" breakfast th e la st day is a g re a t you a lw a y s ben d o v e r backw ards to ensure we get the quality o f food we need at the rig h t price. C ounselors, you have much patience and energy to m ak e th is c a m p in g opportunity available to children in the Tri-County area. We would not be able to have camp run smoothly w ithout you. All o f you have made a difference for our kids! Dave and Roberta Jones, our cam p hosts, you are wonderful and have much patience! It's alw ays fun visiting w ith you! We're glad we didn't have any unexpected "adventures" this year, but even if we would have had unexpected fountains, no hot water, or mystery' critters, you would have been able to handle anything! Sadly, this will be my last y e a r as head cam p cook. It would be nice to have some fresh, young, energetic people to continue this wonderful tradition and step forward!
