Heppner Family Foods,
Many thanks to everyone
that made Tri-County 4-H
Cam p 2011 at C utsforth
Park another success. We
had a huge group o f about
125 campers, counselors,
directors, cooks, and helpers
this year, from June 29th to
July 1st. Wow!
The biggest job is getting
the food UP to camp! Pam
Schmidt, you are an expert
shopper, o rganizer, and
food packer, not to mention
a wonderful cook! Whoever
w o u ld have th o u g h t o f
SQUARE biscuits to save
tim e? Thanks for baking
the cookies beforehand,
too, Pam! Tiffany McCurry,
you are amazing! I loved
your ideas and shortcuts
for cooking and 1 think that
having a "quick" breakfast
th e la st day is a g re a t
you a lw a y s ben d o v e r
backw ards to ensure we
get the quality o f food we
need at the rig h t price.
Pioneer Memorial Hospital
and Heppner Elementary,
thanks for the food storage
again! Tim A dam s, our
bread order is ALWAYS
perfect!
O f course, camp would
not be p o ssib le w ithout
m onths o f p la n n in g by
C laire Sponseller, Cindy
O sterlu n d , Am y D erby,
G la y a B a k e r, D a r c e e
Mitchell, and Ashley Mund.
Thanks to Bill H u ff for
being the extra helper at
camp this year with night
patrol, chaperoning, and
everything else, wherever
he was needed!
C ounselors, you have
much patience and energy
to m ak e th is c a m p in g
opportunity available to
children in the Tri-County
area. We would not be able
to have camp run smoothly
w ithout you. All o f you
have made a difference for
our kids!
Dave and Roberta Jones,
our cam p hosts, you are
wonderful and have much
patience! It's alw ays fun
visiting w ith you! We're
glad we didn't have any
unexpected "adventures"
this year, but even if we
would have had unexpected
fountains, no hot water, or
mystery' critters, you would
have been able to handle
anything!
Sadly, this will be my
last y e a r as head cam p
cook. It would be nice to
have some fresh, young,
energetic people to continue
this wonderful tradition and
step forward!
