EIGHT - Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, October 13,2010 Haiti presentation to be held at All Saints Episcopal On W ednesday, October 20, the ecumeni cal youth group sponsored by All Saints Episcopal Church and Hope Lutheran Church will host a special presentation on Haiti be ginning at 7 p.m. in the All Saints fellowship hall. Pastor Katy An derson’s daughter Malia, a )hvsicanhera£istjrec^ visited Haiti as part of a medical mission supported by Park Sfreet Church in Boston. Malia will share pictures and stories about the realities of everyday life in post-earthquake Port-au- Prince, and the continuing urgent need for medical care. Malia also had the unexpected privilege of meeting the \oung Haitian boy she has supported for seven years through Com passion International, and can share information about that program. HHS FFA brings home wins from Leadership Camp The Blue Moun tain FFA District recently held their 2010 Leadership Camp. Twenty members of the Heppner FFA Chap ter attended. The camp included interactive work shops, leadership and of ficer training, games, and competitions. The Heppner FFA Advanced Team A (Brett Harrison, Kelsi Putman, Devin Robinson, Jarreid Miller, Justin Gutierrez, Zech Hintz, and Garrett Robinson) earned first place in the District Rituals Con test. The Rituals contest consists of the team doing their opening and clos ing ceremonies. They are judged by the state officers on voice, accuracy, pitch, charisma and overall ef fect. The Heppner FFA Chapter also brought home a first place banner in the General Knowledge contest held during camp.
