Boardman appoints new lone teachers visit Pilot Rock School lone middle and planning commissioner between research-validated high school teachers, Becky practices and the environ Tuesday night the to the council on matters Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Boardman City Council appointed Cullen Martin to the Boardman Planning Commission, filling one of two vacancies on the commission. He will serve a three-year term ending December 31, 2012. Mr. Martin has lived in Boardman since 2000. He is a 2006 River side High School graduate and is currently attending Portland State University online, studying business science. He is interested in public service and has a desire to see Boardman grow to its potential. The planning com mission is comprised of seven members appointed by the city council and is a permanent advisory body related to planning and development. The commis sion holds monthly public meetings to consider land use and zoning matters presented by staff, such as plan amendments, zone changes and amendments, conditional use permits, variances and tentative sub division projects. Meetings are the third Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. at Boardman City Hall. Currently the Plan ning Commission has one vacancy. Interested parties must be adult residents of the City of Boardman and be willing to commit to the monthly meetings. For more informa tion, contact Boardman City Hall at 481-9252. At tention is focused on creat ing and sustaining primary (school-wide), secondary (classroom), and tertiary (individual) systems of sup port that improve lifestyle results (personal, health, social, family, work, rec reation) for all children and youth by making prob lem behavior less effec tive, efficient, and relevant, and desired behavior more functional.
