Follow ing is a sum m ary o f the meeting provided by Leann Rea. The court reviewed and approved the minutes o f December 23. Wednesday, January 6,2010 - THREE Essay and artwork contest being held for fourth graders Last y e a r’s coun ty w inner, R ian W izner o f H eppner E lem entary School, received an honor able mention at state level. Two years ago the county w inner, Lexi Bray o f Hep pner Elem entary School, went on to win first place at state level. The contest runs through January 31. The O regon and M orrow C ounty Fam ily and Community Education is helping sponsor an essay and artw ork contest for fourth grade students. This contest is held annually and the theme this year is “fairness,” one o f the “Six Pillars o f Character.” S tu d e n ts are to write an essay and create a hand drawn picture. The contest is open to any fourth grade level student attend ing public, private, or home school.
