So to all my lone, Lexington and Heppner families; thank you and know that you are loved by the whole Sandford Crew! 4-22-lc The local Girl Scouts would like to extend a huge thank to everyone who purchased cookies in our annual cookies sales. This year we sold cook ies in a combined service unit which is Boardman, Herm- iston, Pendleton, Milton- Freewater, Irrigon, Umatilla, Stanfield, Echo and Heppner. There were 29 troops that sold cookies in our service unit. The top three selling troops this year: Heppner Troop #53402 with 3,484 boxes; Hermiston Troop #53415 with 2,259 boxes; and Milton- Freewater Troop #51422 with ) 2,232 boxes. Girls selling at least 4 0 0 boxes o f cookies will be invit ed to a special formal "Cookie Diva" event later this year. These girls are: Cheyenne and Nichole, o f Heppner Troop #53402 with 701 boxes each; Clarie o f Troop #51460, with 600 boxes; Taylor, o f Milton- Freewater Troop #51422, with 420 boxes, Kenzie, o f Herm iston Troop #53415, with 415 boxes; Jamie o f Hermiston Troop #51448 with 411 boxes; Emailie o f Hermiston Troop #51448 with 401 boxes; and Megan of Hermiston Troop #5144 with 400 boxes. The girls raised enough money with a donation from the Bank o f Eastern, for their trip to the Oregon Zoo, for a Zoo Snooze, which is an over night stay at the zoo. The girls got to do things on the back side of the zoo, which you don't get to see on a normal trip to the zoo. Please stop by the Bank of Eastern Oregon to see a poster board of our trip. The local Girl Scouts would also like to thank, everyone who helped with are proj ect "Pennies for Peace", We placed fifth with $58.74, there was a total of $511.09 collect ed for the charity, which will purchase much needed school supplies for the children in Pakistan. 4-22-1 c Thank you to the Pioneer Memorial Hospital’s life-sav ing EMTs including Dr. Wen- berg and his ace emergency crew who stabilized me. And more thanks to the awesome nursing wing that has an amazingly excellent and car ing staff (even the lab techni cians were angels)! I will be forever grateful to each and every one o f you.
