Friends of the Heppner Library to hold annual book sale The Friends o f the Heppner Library will be holding their annual book sale St. Patrick’s weekend. The sale will be held at Heppner City Hall on Friday, March 13, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and continue on Saturday, March 14, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. At this time, we are still accepting donations of gently used books for this sale. They may be dropped off at the library, or Kuhn - Spicer Law Offices no later than March 10. Also, anyone who would be willing to help set up on Thursday after 5 p.m. or to work at the sale for a two- hour interval Friday or Saturday can contact Sally Walker at 676-9112. The money raised is used to provide equipment, books and activities for the children and adult patrons o f the Heppner Library that are not part o f the limited budget. Local food vendor maps with days, times and special menus, especially for St. Patrick’s weekend will be available. The Sheep Dog Tri als will be held on Saturday and Sunday. Th ere will also be pl e nt y o f e n t e r t a i n ment planned for Saturday evening, i ncluding Will Homyak, Storyteller; Lindy Gravelle and the Old Time Fiddlers.
