If there is an overabun dance of homes on the market, the demand wanes and sellers may have to adjust their price downward in order to make a sale. Other factors in the market place set the pace of supply and demand, and these ingre dients are much more power ful than the real estate agents who carry out the wishes of buyers and sellers. In reality, buyers and sell ers set the price, and real es tate agents only facilitate what the market is by compiling sta tistics and offering informa tion so that sellers can be in formed as they put their homes on the market. Home prices, just like most commodities, are a function of supply and demand. If there is high demand and short supply. ' 188 W. Willow • P.0. Box 337 • Heppner.
