To lose a friend is hard, but to lose one that you know exactly what happened and how the events unfolded them selves is even more ex cru ciatin g . We are all mourning the loss o f our friends and will for the rest of our lives. However, the w ar c o n tin u e s, and tomorrow we will be back up in the air flying, trying to shove their accident out of our minds while we control the aircraft. Because of these events, we are all a little emotional, scared and wary about flying. I am asking you all to keep us ALL in your thoughts and prayers for the rest of us to return home safely w ith o u t fu rth e r incident. I thank you all for your continued support of us troops halfway around the w orld. P lease h elp our fam ilies as they w ill be worried and stressed out. I am not the only individual who is deployed and if you know a family who has a loved one deployed, know that they live with this daily and are never able to replace the thoughts. Our unit is at a crucial point now and must recover from her loss if we are to co n tin u e to fight e ffectiv ely in this harsh environment. Daily I pray for my soldiers and that they will remain out of harms way, but as God has displayed to us all, it is not always in his plans. Again, I thank you for your support of not only our troops, but our families as well. If you happen to know one of the families that lost a loved one, please help them and comfort them. They are going to need it.” Sincerely, David K.
