The Bank of Eastern Oregon took best commercial float. Jr Giselle Schoonover and Jered Wicklund Giselle Lee Schoonover and Jered Lee Wicklund, along with their parents Roger and Darlene Schoonover and Tom and Shannon Wicklund, all of Heppner, are pleased to announce their engagement. The bride-elect is a graduate o f Heppner High School and graduated from Pendleton College of Hair Design in Pendleton. She is currently employed as a self- employed hair stylist and with Roger’s Electric. The groom-elect is a graduate of Heppner High. He is currently employed with Heppner Heating. The couple plans an Aug. 27, 2005 wedding at Wallowa Lake in Joseph. The Camas Prairie Red Hat Mamas took best community float. The 2005 Morrow C ounty Fair and Oregon Trail Rodeo parade was held S aturday, Aug. 20. During the business meeting, she was appo in ted chairperson for the National General Welfare Committee for a four-year term. She is also vice-president of the state lodge and local secretary-treasurer. M ary Ann is the current president of Kate J. Young and state usher. C onnor and Mary Ann a ssisted w ith the opening flag ceremony for the state of Oregon and also a ssisted w ith clo sin g ceremonies. T here w ere 325 adult members and guests p resen t and 87 youth attendees, representing 16 states. The co n v en tio n attendees also enjoyed many tours of the Madison area.
