He was cited and released to appear. The vehicle was impounded. -MCSO received a hang-up 911 call from K e g le r’s S entry in Boardman. There was no answ er on c all-b a c k . A deputy was unable to locate anyone; there was no one in the store. -MCSO received a report from MCGG in lone of an attem pted theft o f anhydrous ammonia from the tanks in lone. A funnel was left behind. -M C SO , H eppner am bulance receiv ed a request for an ambulance from a caller in Heppner for an 87-year-old female who had fallen and was mumbling. The patient was tra n sp o rte d to P io n eer M em orial H o sp ital in Heppner. Over the Tee Cup -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact from a c a lle r in Irrigon regarding a non-sufficient check. -MCSO deputy cited Jorge M agdaleno- Castaneda, 30, for Violation of the Basic Rule, 35 mph in a 25 mph zone. Driving while License Suspended- V iolation and D riving Uninsured. The vehicle was impounded. -MCSO received a re p o rt from a c a lle r in Lexington that her 5-year- old so n ’s rem ote control plane had flow n onto a n e ig h b o r’s ro o f and the neighbor was refusing to allow them to retrieve it. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact from a c a lle r in Irrigon regarding a theft of a trailer. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact from a c a lle r at the N eighborhood C enter in Heppner regarding a check for assistance. -MCSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r in H eppner of tw o juvenile males taking something out o f a vehicle at a nearby residence. The subjects were stopped; the owner of the vehicle was with them and it was determined all was Sixteen ladies gathered Aug. 3 at Willow Creek Country Club for Over the Tee Cup play. Shari Stahl took low gross of the field. Low net of the field went to Lorenne Montgomery and least putts of the field went to Luvilla Sonstegard. In flight A, Eva Kilkenny and Karen Thompson tied for low gross; Betty Christman took low net; Jan Paustian took least putts; and Corol Mitchell had the long drive. In flight B, Lynnea Sargent took low gross; Kandy Boyd took low net; Loa Henderson took least putts; and Boyd had the long drive. In flight C, Donna Crawford took low gross; Joyce Dinkins took low net; Dorris Graves took least putts; and Bernice Lott had the long drive. Chip-ins went to Montgomery and Graves. Team Low Gross went to Kilkenny and Paustian. Team Low Net was tied between Christman and Crawford and Montgomery and Lott. Students named to UO deans’ lists More than 1900-plus University of Oregon students have been nam ed to the d ean s’ lists for scholastic achievement during sprint term of the 2003-2004 school year, according to Anne Leavitt, vice president for student affairs and dean of students. UO deans’ lists are compiled for fall, winter and spring terms during each school year. All undergraduate and post baccalaureate students, including National Student Exchange students, are eligible. To qualify for the lists, students must be in good academic standing and must have completed 12 or more graded credits for the term. The required minimum grade- point average is 3.75 on a scale having 4.0 as a straight-A average. A lto g eth er, 1963 stu d en ts- ou t o f 14,504 undergraduate and post baccalaureate students- made spring term 2004 deans’ lists for their respective UO school or college. Local students included on the deans’ lists are: Johnathan Thomas Bennett, of Heppner, a sophomore political science major; and Geoffrey Ellsworth Camine, of Boardman, a junior sociology major. St. Patrick’s Senior Center news Volunteers from Heppner Christian Church are hosts for the senior meal on Aug. 18. The menu is chicken nuggets, fries, peas and carrots, fresh fruit, combread and pudding. Entertainm ent during the meal will be the Shamrockettes, a recently organized group who performed at the City Park during Celebrate Heppner festivities. The regularly scheduled board meeting will be called to order at 12 noon in the Center office on Aug. 18. Bus rides to and from the fairgrounds will be scheduled on Senior Citizens’ Day. Cindy G Rowland, 39, was arrested for DUII - BAC Refusal and cited for Possession of Less than One Oz. M arijuana. She was lodged at the U m atilla County Jail. -M C SO , O regon State P o lice receiv ed a report of an object that was throw n or fell from an o v erp ass near 1-84 w estbound m ilepost 176 that broke the c a lle r ’s windshield. -MCSO, Boardman P olice D ept, receiv ed a report from a caller that her daughter was assaulted by another juvenile at the Trail Apartments in Boardman. April 27: M CSO received a request for an ambulance from a caller in Heppner for an 81 -year-old male who was experiencing post-op back pain. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received an ab andoned 911 from Portland General Electric in B oardm an. It was determ ined all was okay; there was no incident. -MCSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r at MCGG in Lexington that a vehicle was stolen from their main lot. -MCSO received a relayed report from a caller in Irrigon that her vehicle had just been damaged by plywood falling off a pickup hauling a load to the dump. -MCSO deputy cited a juvenile subject in Irrigon for Possession of Less than One Oz. Marijuana. -MCSO received a request from a c aller in Irrig o n to sch ed u le an ap p o in tm en t for fingerprinting in Irrigon. -MCSO received a report from the Hermiston Police D ept, that Kevin W ayne Sm ith, 31, was arre sted on a M orrow C ounty C irc u it C ourt w arran t fo r F ailu re to Appear/Assault IV-CF and H arassm en t; and on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for F ailure to Pay Fine/ D riv in g w hile L icense Suspended. He was lodged on local w arrants at the Umatilla County Jail. -M C SO , O regon State P olice receiv ed a report from a caller of two male hitchhikers on 1-84 westbound m ilepost 178; they were walking in the freeway lanes. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact from a c aller in Irrigon regarding a possible stalking order violation by a female subject. -MCSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r in Irrigon that her son was assaulted by her neighbor’s Morrow Coonty[Grain G row ers« LEXINGTON, OREGON - April 28: Boardman PD received a report of irrigation flooding at Canal and Tom ’s C am p Rd in B oardm an. W est End Irrigation was notified. -MCSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r in Irrigon that his vehicle’s d riv er side w indow was broken out during the night. -MCSO received a request for contact from H eppner H igh School regarding a student smoking marijuana. -MCSO, Boardman PD received a report of alarm activation from the Boardman BEO branch. It was d eterm in ed to be accidental activation. -MCSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r in Heppner that the American Flag was missing from the Legion Hall. The flag was put up in the morning and missing by lunchtime. There was a possibility that the wind blew the flag away. -MCSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r in Irrigon that garbage was left on her property. -MCSO received a report from an 8-year-old child in Irrigon that there were two boys in front of a store w ith a gun. It was determined to be a plastic gun. -MCSO received a report of a stolen cell phone. -MCSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r in Irrig o n th at there w ere ap p ro x im ately six shots fired across the street. The caller had heard shots early also. -MCSO received a rep o rt from a c aller in Irrigon that a dirt bike was d riv in g around w ith no muffler and was very loud. A second call came in from another Irrigon resident who was very upset. -MCSO received a request for deputy contact from a c aller in Irrigon regarding the n eig h b o r’s dogs barking constantly. A p ril 29: M CSO received a request for a deputy at GD’s Lounge in Heppner for an unwanted fem ale subject who was refusing to leave. She left. -M CSO deputy reported a structure fire on Kunze Road. It was a bam fire that was caused from an unattended controlled bum. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact from a caller in Boardman regarding noise from the d o w n stairs n e ig h b o r’s apartment. -M C SO , O regon State P o lice receiv ed a report from a caller o f a vehicle speeding on 1-84 eastbound milepost 170. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact from a caller in Boardman regarding vehicles driving fast on Kunze Road in the morning. -M C SO , H eppner am bulance receiv ed a request for an ambulance from a caller in Heppner for a 91-year-old male subject who was very shaky and diabetic. -MCSO received a relayed report of an altered propane tank in a ditch in Lexington. -M CSO deputy advised a m issing m ale subject was found. -MCSO deputy cited a juvenile for Failure to O bey T raffic C ontrol Device. -MCSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r in Irrigon of a fight in progress betw een 10 ju v e n ile s beating up a child. It was d eterm in ed they were playing and all was okay. -M C SO deputy advised there were four horses out in Irrigon. The owners were contacted and would take care of it. -MCSO received a report from a c aller in Irrigon of a large group of • WASCO, OREGON I. 1 800 824-7185 - juvenile boys waking near East Sixth and O reg o n Avenue in Irrigon. A deputy was unable to locate the juveniles. -MCSO received a report of two horses out and heading towards Highway 730. The possible ow ner was contacted. A deputy was unable to locate the horses. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact from a caller in Heppner to contact the neighbors above her and ask them to turn down the music and turn the vacuum cleaner off. -M CSO d eputy a rre sted M isty D aw n Winston, 23, on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Appear/Theft III. She was cited and released to appear. -MCSO deputy cited Mario Carmona Soto, 40, for No Insurance and No Seatbelt x2. April 30: M CSO deputy cited Juan Rodriguez Pacheco, 33, for Driving while License Suspended Violation and No Insurance. The vehicle was impounded. -MCSO received a request for contact from a caller at the Boardman Shell statio n for an unknow n problem . A deputy was unable to locate the subject. -MCSO deputy cited Tucker Raymond, 28, for D riving w hile L icense Suspended Violation and No Insurance. The vehicle was impounded. -MCSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r in Boardman that a truck ran over the stop sign by the Boardman Texaco on Main Street. The v eh icle was parked at the Texaco station. The city was notified. -M C SO , O regon S tate P olice receiv ed a report of a possible DUII on 1-84 exit 164. -MCSO, Boardman P olice D ept, receiv ed a rep o rt from a c aller in Boardman that her son was assaulted by his teacher at Windy River Elem entary School. A deputy contact was requested. -MCSO received a rep o rt from a c aller in Irrigon that someone let her dogs out of their kennel and broke branches off of a tree. As a result of her dogs being let loose, they killed her cat. -MCSO received a report from a caller in lone that someone in a lavender vehicle was d riv in g erratically through lone. Another caller also reported seeing the vehicle and that a passenger looked scared. A deputy advised the vehicle had been seen before at a male subject’s residence. -MCSO received a report from a caller that her son found a barbell weight at the c a lle r ’s m o th e r’s house in Irrigon. -MCSO received a request for a deputy check from a caller in Boardman regarding a neighbor’s yard that was full of debris. Two fake air guns were pointed at juveniles. -MCSO, Boardman P olice D ept, receiv ed a request from Oregon State P olice to assist w ith an Attempt to Locate a semi that hit another vehicle and left. The semi was stopped and d etain ed until OSP arrived. -MCSO, Boardman P olice D ept, receiv ed a request from a caller in B oardm an reg ard in g a verbal argument with her husband. She is leaving for the night but he is th reaten in g to trash her b elo n g in g s and already crashed her computer. -M C SO , ODOT receiv ed a re p o rt that tumbleweeds are blocking H ighw ay 207 around milepost 13 or 14. -MCSO received a request for an ambulance from a caller in Irrigon for a 7 1 -year-old fem ale with generalized weakness and p o st-tre a tm e n t for pneumonia. The patient was tran sp o rted to G ood Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston. -M C SO , O regon State Police, Boardman and U m atilla P olice d ep ts.. T rib al P olice receiv ed multiple reports from callers in Irrigon o f a group o f ju v e n ile s carry in g large stick s and cau sin g a d istu rb a n ce in the neighborhood. A juvenile and Conrad Cavazos, 22, were cited for Disorderly C onduct; other citations were issued; and a male ju v e n ile was cited for D riving w hile L icense Suspended Infraction, No Insurance and Attempting to Elude/Vehicle.
