o f a vehicle at a nearby
residence. The subjects were
stopped; the owner of the
vehicle was with them and
it was determined all was

Shari Stahl took low gross of the field. Low net of
the field went to Lorenne Montgomery and least putts of
the field went to Luvilla Sonstegard.
In flight A, Eva Kilkenny and Karen Thompson
tied for low gross; Betty Christman took low net; Jan
Paustian took least putts; and Corol Mitchell had the long
drive.
In flight B, Lynnea Sargent took low gross; Kandy
Boyd took low net; Loa Henderson took least putts; and
Boyd had the long drive.
In flight C, Donna Crawford took low gross; Joyce
Dinkins took low net; Dorris Graves took least putts; and
Bernice Lott had the long drive.
Chip-ins went to Montgomery and Graves.
Team Low Gross went to Kilkenny and Paustian.
Team Low Net was tied between Christman and Crawford
and Montgomery and Lott.
Students named to UO deans’ lists
More than 1900-plus University of Oregon students
have been nam ed to the d ean s’ lists for scholastic
achievement during sprint term of the 2003-2004 school
year, according to Anne Leavitt, vice president for student
affairs and dean of students.
UO deans’ lists are compiled for fall, winter and
spring terms during each school year. All undergraduate
and post baccalaureate students, including National Student
Exchange students, are eligible.
To qualify for the lists, students must be in good
academic standing and must have completed 12 or more
graded credits for the term. The required minimum grade-
point average is 3.75 on a scale having 4.0 as a straight-A
average.

undergraduate and post baccalaureate students- made
spring term 2004 deans’ lists for their respective UO school
or college.
Local students included on the deans’ lists are:
Johnathan Thomas Bennett, of Heppner, a sophomore
political science major; and Geoffrey Ellsworth Camine,
of Boardman, a junior sociology major.
St. Patrick’s Senior Center news
Volunteers from Heppner Christian Church are
hosts for the senior meal on Aug. 18. The menu is chicken
nuggets, fries, peas and carrots, fresh fruit, combread and
pudding. Entertainm ent during the meal will be the
Shamrockettes, a recently organized group who performed
at the City Park during Celebrate Heppner festivities.
The regularly scheduled board meeting will be
called to order at 12 noon in the Center office on Aug. 18.
Bus rides to and from the fairgrounds will be
scheduled on Senior Citizens’ Day. Those needing rides
will help facilitate the service by letting the Center office
know.

As a result of her dogs being
let loose, they killed her cat.

seeing the vehicle and that a
passenger looked scared. A
deputy advised the vehicle
had been seen before at a
male subject’s residence.

from a caller in Boardman
regarding a neighbor’s yard
that was full of debris. It was
