SIX - Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, October 8, 2003 Sheriff's Report The M orrow C ounty Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) re ports handling the following business: -M C S O rec e iv e d a report from a caller in Irrigon that the neighbor’s dogs were making a m ess in her yard. -M C S O re c e iv e d a report from Hermiston Police Dept, that Debra Jean Portillo, 43, was arrested on a U C SO warrant with a hold placed for Morrow County Circuit Court warrant for Failure to Appear/ M anufacture/D elivery o f a C o n tro lle d S u b sta n c e x4, Possession o f a C ontrolled S u b s ta n c e x4, and Frequenting a Place w here Controlled Substance is Used x l . She w as lodged at the Umatilla County Jail. -M C S O rec e iv e d a report from Hermiston Police D ept, that D arin C h estley Wagoner, 36, was arrested on an Irrig o n J u s tic e C o u rt w arrant for Failure to Pay Fine/D riving w hile License Suspended. -M C S O receiv ed a request for a deputy contact from a c a lle r in H e p p n e r regarding possible fraud. -H e rm isto n P o lic e Dept, requested m utual aid from Irrigon Fire Dept, for the U m atilla Fire Dept, for a fire n ear the M orrow /U m atilla county line on the south side ofH ighw ay 730. -M C S O rec e iv e d a re q u e st fo r a b a c k g ro u n d check on a male subject from the F ederal In v estig atio n s P r o c e s s in g C e n te r. T h e subject was not in the locals. -M C S O , O r e g o n State Police received a request for contact in Irrigon regarding a f o u r - w h e e le r tr e s p a s s complaint for a female subject. f ■1 -M C SO deputy cited a subject for Possession o f a C ontrolled Substance, Less than One Oz. M arijuana. -M C S O receiv ed a report from a subject that a female subject told him that he h it h e r c a r a t H u w e ’s W ashboard and then left. The caller advised he did not hit her car and there is no dam age to his car. -M C S O re c e iv e d a report from a caller in Irrigon that her husband assaulted her and her daughter. The parties were separated and outside o f the residence. Tim othy Jones w as arrested for H arassm ent a n d A ssa u lt IV D o m e stic Felony. He was released on his own recognizance and advised not to return to the residence or have contact with his wife and children. - M C S O , D e v i n ’s Tow received a report from a caller on 1-84 that her vehicle had a flat tire. -M C SO , Boardm an Police Dept, received a report from a caller on 1-84 that a vehicle tried to run a semi o ff the road and the driver was waving a gun at him and other d r iv e r s . A s e c o n d c a lle r advised that the driver was wielding a crowbar. The driver w as stopped at B oardm an Foods and cited for Reckless Driving. -M C S O receiv ed a relayed request for a deputy contact in Irrigon regarding a b r o k e n w in d o w a t th e residence. -B o a rd m a n P o lic e Dept, officer cited Juan Luis A y a la G a r d u n o , 2 1 , fo r M aintaining a Dog at Large. -M C S O receiv ed a report from a caller in Irrigon that her w allet w as stolen at Huwe’s Washboard in Irrigon. -M C S O receiv ed a r e q u e s t fro m a c a lle r in B oardm an to have contact Behavioral Health contact the caller’s m other in Boardman. The m other has a substance abuse problem with pills and has severe depression. She also slapped her grandson h ard a cro ss the face. T he children w ere rem oved and Behavioral Health contacted. -M C S O receiv ed a h a n g -u p 911 c a ll fro m a residence in Irrigon. Dispatch could hear a fem ale subject say something in Spanish. On c a ll-b a c k , a m ale su b je c t advised that there w as “no p r o b le m h e r e .” It w a s determ ined all was okay. J u n e 10: Boardm an Police Dept, officer arrested C u a u th e m o c C a ld e r o n - V idales, 30, on an Irrigon Ju stic e C o u rt w a rra n t for Failure to Pay Fine/D riving while License Suspended and cited for Violation o f the Basic Rule, 52 mph in a 30 mph zone and D riving w hile License Suspended Infraction. He was cited and released. -M C S O rec e iv e d a report from Lexington A uto B o d y th a t an im p o u n d e d vehicle was removed from the impound lot. The vehicle was entered as signed stolen. -M C S O receiv ed a report from a caller that stolen c h e c k s w e re w r itte n to Brow n’s Auto in Irrigon. -M C SO deputy cited E r n e s t M c C a b e , 7 8 , fo r Failure to W ear Seatbelt. -M C S O rec e iv e d a r e p o r t fro m a c a ll e r in B o a rd m a n o f a p o s s ib le restraining order violation. -M C SO , B oardm an Fire Dept, received a report o f a m achine fire at the chip facility at Tidewater Terminal. -M C S O receiv ed a re p o rt from a c a lle r w ho requested assistance in getting her ex-boyfriend to leave her residence. He was intoxicated and refusing to leave. Oregon State Police responded. -M C S O , I rr ig o n am bulance received a report o f a n 8 2 - y e a r - o ld m a le subject with chest pains. -M C SO , B oardm an am bulance received a request for an am bulance for a 70- year-old female in Boardman w ho had fallen and co u ld n ’t get up. Transport was refused. -M C SO deputy cited a female juvenile for Failure to Use Seatbelt and Endangering a Child Passenger. -M C S O rec e iv e d a report from a caller in heppner that her vehicle was stolen on Sunday m orning. The caller had a possible suspect. -M C S O , B oardm an Police Dept, received a report o f an audible alarm. An officer was unable to locate anyone. -M C SO , B oardm an P o lic e D e p t., B e h a v io ra l Health received a report from a caller at Boardman Chevron of an unwanted subject causing a disturbance. Keith Leslie McKee, 46, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Harassment, Driving w hile L icense S uspended- Infraction and No Insurance. The vehicle was towed. -M C S O rec e iv e d a report that an RV w as out o f fuel on 1-84. Devin’s Tow was dispatched. -M C S O rec e iv e d a rep o rt th at D arren W ayne Williams, 32, was arrested on a M orrow C o u n ty C ircu it C ourt w arrant for Failure to A p p e a r /P o s s e s s io n o f a C ontrolled Substance II. He w as alread y lodged at the Umatilla County Jail. -M C S O , I r r ig o n am bulance received a report from a caller that her cousin called her and w as having trouble breathing and m ay need a ride to the hospital. The cousin w as contacted and he advised he was fine and didn’t need an ambulance. -M C SO , B oardm an Police Dept, received a report o f a residential burglar alarm in B oardm an. The residence w as secure; it w as a false alarm. -M C S O , O reg o n State Police received a report from a caller in Irrigon that a m a le s u b je c t a s s a u lte d a female subject. Michael Orville G underson, 42, was arrested fo r D o m e s tic A s s a u lt- C Felony. H e was conditionally released for m edical reasons. -M C S O rec e iv e d a report from the O regon State Police that a male subject was arrested on an Irrigon Justice C ourt w arrant for Failure to Appear/Driving while License Suspended. He w as cited and released. -M C S O rec e iv e d a report from a caller in Irrigon that his residence and pickup had been egged/painted. The caller stated there was an on- g o in g p ro b le m ; p o s s ib le suspects were named. -M C S O rec e iv e d a report from a caller in Irrigon o f a puppy found. The Pet Rescue num ber was given to the caller. -M C S O , O re g o n State Police received a report o f a vehicle going 80+ mph on 1-84, going past the Highway 730junction. -M C SO , B oardm an Police Dept, received a report from a caller in Boardm an o f a llama loose on Kunze Road. The ow ner was contacted and the llama taken home. -M C S O rec e iv e d a report from a caller in Irrigon o f a sw arm o f bees in their garage. The caller w as given the num ber o f a beekeeper. -B o a rd m a n P o lic e Dept, officer cited M arvin N aun G uerra-R egalado, 35, for Violation o f the Basic Rule, 46 m ph in a 30 m ph zone. -M C S O receiv ed a r e p o r t fro m a c a ll e r in B oardm an o f a suspicious person at the B oardm an rest area. -M C S O re c e iv e d a request for information from a caller in lone w ho w anted to know w hy there are so m any kids driving around lone in pickups. -M C SO , B oardm an P o lic e D e p t, r e c e iv e d a request for an officer contact from a caller in B oardm an re g a rd in g a b u rg la ry th at o c c u rre d so m e tim e to d ay while he was gone. -M C SO , B oardm an Police Dept, received a report from a caller in Boardm an o f two male juveniles w ho had a confrontation at The Movies; one left running from the other. -M C SO , Irrigon Fire Dept, received a report o f an illegal bum in Irrigon. -M C S O d e p u ty advised he w as w ith a horse that was out; the owners were contacted. -M C S O rec e iv e d a report from a caller that a daughter was supposed to be on a plane to H aw aii but had not shown up. -M C SO , B oardm an P o lic e D e p t., B o a rd m a n am bulance received a report from a caller in Boardm an o f a 3 9 -year-old fem ale w ith chest pains. -M C S O rec e iv e d a report from a caller on 1-84 o f a female walking a dog in the slo w lan e e a stb o u n d ; the female appeared disoriented. -M C S O re c e iv e d a report from a caller in Irrigon o f th r e e m a le j u v e n i l e s “bashing” mail boxes along a street in Irrigon. The subjects were located. Frank Battaglia, 24, w as arrested for Crim inal M ischief II, Resisting Arrest and D isorderly C onduct. He was lodged at the U m atilla County Jail. A Jeremy Sherrer, 18, w as cited for C rim inal M ischief II. A nother subject was also listed. -M C S O rec e iv e d a report from a caller that his ex- w ife hit him and threw rocks at his vehicle when he went to pick up his daughter in Irrigon. A deputy was unable to locate the subject and an A ttem pt to Locate was issued. J u n e 15: Boardm an Police Dept, officer arrested Juan Alfredo Lopez Baras, 28, for DUII (B A C .08). -M C S O receiv ed a report from a caller in Irrigon o f a loud party. The party was located and the m usic turned down. -M C S O d ep u ty a r rested Amanda R. Grigsby, 21, for Assault IV-Domestic for an incident that occurred on June 14. She w as lodged at the Umatilla County Jail. -M C S O , H e p p n e r Public W orks received a re port o f a skunk w ith its head stuck in the storm drain at the forestry building. T he caller stated it w as an o n -g o in g problem and had talked to the neighbor in the past. -M C S O rec e iv e d a r e p o r t fro m a c a ll e r in Boardm an w ho heard 2-3 ri fle shots last night about 8 p.m. and this morning found a dead cow in a pasture that belongs to the person leasing the prop erty. The c o w ’s ow ner also called about the incident. -M C SO deputy cited M ichael Lee M cCafferty, 30, for Violation o f the Basic Rule, 74 m ph in a 55 m ph zone. -M C S O d ep u ty re layed a report o f a vehicle us ing 4-5 parking spaces on M ain Street in Heppner. The ow ner was contacted and the vehicle moved. -M C S O rec e iv e d a report from a caller in Irrigon that her d a u g h ter returned home.
