Sheriff's Report The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) reports handling the following business: MCSO received a report of someone screaming, “Help me,” near Driftwood RV Park. It was kids jumping on a trampoline. April 22: MCSO received a report of a subject refusing to leave a residence and threatening to take a TV. MCSO received a report of a possible counterfeit $20 bill at Sen try Market. Oregon State Police received a report of a dead fawn with the backstrap removed found in the middle of Black Mountain Lane off Willow Creek Road. MCSO received a report form Gilliam County of a man who sold a woman from Heppner a dog advising it was a border collie and it turned out to be a lab. The woman stopped payment on the check and the man is out a dog. MCSO, Boardm an Police Dept, received a report of an au dible alarm at Boardman Auto Repair. The door was just left un locked. MCSO received a report of two suspicious vehicles in Imgori backed up UJ t4cH Other with thC trunks open. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of a vehicle with two year old stickers and no month stickers. Boardman Police Dept, ar rested Ruben Gonzalez Velasco, 24. for Failure to Appear/DUfi. He was lodged at the UC Jail with $10,000 bail. MCSO received a report of suspicious circumstances at a Boardman residence. April 23: MCSO received a report of a disturbance with a male subject trying to get into a female’s residence m Imgon. William Paul Thielen. 45, was arrested on a P&P detainer and lodged at the UC Jail. The victim was to be notified when the subject was to be released from jail. MCSO received a report of someone urinating on the side of a building in Boardman. MCSO received a report of a van blocking a car at Sandpiper Apts, in Boardman. MCSO received a 911 call from art Irrigon residence with a pos sible domestic dispute going on. It turned out to be a computer line that called 911. The residents said they had been having phone line problems. Boardman ambulance received a request for an ambulance for an 86 year old female with a blood clot in her leg. The patient was transported to Good Shepherd Community Hospital in Hermiston. MCSO, Oregon State Police, Boardman and Umatilla Police depts. received a report of a $13.25 d riv e-o ff from the Boardman Chevron. MCSO received a report of excess dust going into a resi dence. MCSO, Oregon State Police, ODOT, Boardman Fire Dept., Boardman ambulance, tow truck received a report of a one vehicle rollover accident on 1-84 east- bound. The victim refused trans port. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of a vehicle tear ing around Wilson Road Trailer Court. MCSO received a report of an Irrigon female threatened by her boyfriend in Umatilla. She was given the Umatilla Police Dept, phone number. MCSO received a report from a woman that she was to pick up her 4'/j year old daughter, but she was not there. Oregon State Police received a report o f a possible DUII in Boardman. Kathleen Greenup wins scholarship Kathleen Greenup, a Heppner High School graduate now attending Mount Hood Community College in Gresham, was one of three winners of student scholarships awarded by OreAl.S Scholarship Fund, Inc. at the recent annual meeting of NALS of Oregon. Student scholarships are awarded to those pursuing a career as legal support staff. NALS of Oregon is a chartered state association of NALS, the association for legal professionals which is dedicated to enhancing the competencies and contributions of members employed in law-related positions and which offers a course of study and certification examinations for those working under the direction of an attorney or judge, said a news release.The tri-level association also sponsors seminars on various topics and promotes professionalism through its various membership activities, the release said. MCSO received a report of two kids with pellet guns at a trailer on the caller’s property in Irrigon. Heppner Police Dept, received a request for an ambulance for a 50 year old man with chest pains. The patient was transported to Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Heppner. April 24: MCSO received an other report from Western Al falfa. The door was left open for employees. MCSO received a report of a fire alarm at lone Elementary School. There was no fire. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a request for an officer at a trailer court in Boardman on a noise complaint. May 15: MCSO received a report of a problem dog back at a Boardman residence. MCSO received a request for a house watch m Boardman. MCSO deputy assisted Boardman Police Dept, with a traffic stop in Boardman. MCSO received a report from a Boardman woman that she had fallen out of her wheelchair and couldn't get up. She refused medi cal assistance. lone EMTs. MCSO received a report from a Boardman residence that a per son delivering furniture to his resi dence while the owners were gone found a key and entered the residence, delivering the furniture. The caller wanted to press for mal charges. They killed the snake, but wanted it identified. It was a bull snake. Heppner Police Dept, received a report o f juveniles throwing rocks at cattle pastured next to the Mt. Glen Apts. MCSO received a report from an Imgon woman that when her 16 year old son left the house to go jogging the neighbors yelled “Klu Klux Klan" and "KKK" at him. MCSO received a report that a boat in the Columbia River with three adults and two kids was tak ing on water fast. The leak was plugged and the boat made it in to the Irrigon Marina all right. Morrow County Road Dept, received a report of a stop sign down in Irrigon. James Floyd Percy, 58, was arrested for Possession of a Con trolled Substance II. He turned himself into the Umatilla County Jail with $20.000 bail. MCSO received a request for an officer concerning speeding and not stopping at a stop sign in Irrigon. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report o f two more snakes at the same Boardman residence. The residents wanted to know who call to take care of the problem. MCSO received a request for information concerning an eviction notice. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of a domestic dis pute at a Boardman residence. Josh Atlee Chandler, 28, was ar rested for Menacing, Domestic. He was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail with $6,000 bail. May 16: MCSO received a re port of a suspicious vehicle near a Boardman residence. Heppner Police Dept, received a report of a vehicle parked out side the Heppner city limit on Highway 207 and a small child walking toward town. Heppner Police Dept, received a report of several cows walking toward Main Street from the Heppner-Condon Highway. MCSO received a report from an irrigon woman that her neigh bor was cutting trees on her prop- erty. MCSO, Morrow County Be havioral Health, Imgon ambulance received a report of an Irrigon subject talking on the Internet say ing he was going to end it all by taking medication. MCBH was requested. MCSO received a report of possible animal abuse in Imgon. The animals were okay. MCSO, Boardm an Police Dept, received a report of a dis tress alarm at the Boardman Bank of Eastern Oregon. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of loud noise from a vehicle. MCSO received a report of an alarm at Cascade Specialities. It was a false alarm. MCSO received a request for assistance. A subject asked MCSO to call his brother as he broke a fan belt. MCSO deputy was flagged down by a Boardman woman con cerning a dog problem. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of loud music. MCSO deputy arrested Ronald Lynn Reynolds, 39, Imgon, for DUII. His vehicle was towed. MCSO received a report of an audible burglar alarm at Les Schwab. The building was secure. May 17: MCSO received a report of a dog harassing a bull in Boardman. MCSO received a report of trucks and a tractor broken into and items taken at Western Em pire. MCSO, Boardman Fire Dept, received a report of a vehicle on fire continuing to travel westbound on 1-84. The vehicle stopped and was towed. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of a Boardman subject using her cousin's ID. Imgon ambulance received a report of a teacher at Columbia Middle School in Imgon having chest pains and having trouble breathing. The patient was trans ported to Good Shepherd Commu nity Hospital in Hermiston. Boardman Police Dept, ar rested Jody Lynn Lemon, 21, on a Hermiston warrant for DUII and a Pendleton Sheriffs Office war rant for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. The subject was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail with $35,000 bail. Heppner Police Dept, received a request to deliver a message of a family emergency to a subject en route to Heppner from Idaho. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a request for information concerning a vehicle that had been impounded. MCSO received a report of crim inal m ischief damage in Imgon. Morrow County Behavioral Health received a report of a ju venile out of control in Heppner. MCSO, Search and Rescue received a report at 7:59 o f a mushroom picking partner who had not been seen since 10:30. The subject had no coat, no food, only a 40 oz. beer and was com plaining of leg pain before he left. The subject was located. MCSO received a report of dogs not being taken care of in Imgon MCSO received a report of an Irrigon residence broken into and items stolen. May 18: City of Heppner re ceived a report of a broken water main in Heppner. MCSO received a report of two motors and two batteries sto len from a boat stored in Irrigon. MCSO received a report of approximately 100 cows out on Miller Road. MCSO received a report of an intrusion alarm at an Irrigon resi dence. It was a false alarm. MCSO received a request for an extra patrol at A.C. Houghton. Two males were hanging around the school when the kids were let out. Oregon State Police arrested Jason Alan B athurst, 23, Hermiston^on a Morrow County Circuit Court warrant for DUII, Driving while License Suspended- M isdemeanor, Attempting to Elude. He was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail with $ 10,000 bail. MCSO received a report from an Irrigon man that his 15 year old son assaulted him and then left on foot with a friend. Pierce County Sheriff’s Office arrested Timothy H. Sherwood, 43, on several circuit court war rants for Parole Violation and a Heppner Justice Court warrant that needed to be served. He was lodged at Pierce County Jail with a hold for Morrow County. MCSO received a request for a deputy concerning more crimi nal mischief at the gravel pits in Imgon. MCSO received a report from an Imgon subject that he had a verbal confrontation with another subject who said he was going to kill him and put him six feet un der. MCSO received a report from an Irrigon woman that her son was being verbally abusive to her and she wanted him to leave and he was refusing. MCSO received a request for a deputy from a subject concern ing killing wild animals that are threatening livestock. MCSO received a request for a deputy from a man who said kids hanging around his house were rude and disrespectful when he asked them to leave. MCSO received a report of a possible suspicious person in Lex ington. MCSO received a request for information concerning a custody dispute. A woman said her ex- husband wouldn’t give back the kids and she has custody. MCSO received a report from a subject who said his friend had been the victim of a hit and run a couple days ago. He said he spoke to the Boardman Police who said there was nothing that could be done and didn’t take a police re port. The call was handled prop erly. MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report of a re straining order violation. Ruben Gutierrez was arrested for a ROR and was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail with $5,000 bail MCSO received a report of a white Toyota pickup at the Sand piper Apts, that was spinning cookies. MCSO received a report of a woman violating her own restrain ing order in Imgon. MCSO received a report of a male subject who had been drink ing who was verbally abusive to Beecher s employees because they wouldn t serve him. His wife was contacted to pick him up. May 19: MCSO deputy cited Robert Maxwell Minton, 18, for MIP-C onsumption. MCSO received a request for a deputy concerning vandalism at Keller Construction in Irrigon. MCSO received a report of dogs running loose in Imgon. MCSO received a report of a mower stolen. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of an adult’s 10- speed bike found hidden in the caller's bushes in Boardman. MCSO received a report of an abandoned vehicle with a primer hood at a vacant lot owned by the city. A deputy advised there was nothing they could do because it was private property. MCSO received a report of 6- 8 kids at the Imgon Marina throw ing each other around and being out of control. MCSO received a report of a cow out in Boardman. MCSO received a report of a possible domestic dispute in progress at the Sandpiper Apts. MCSO received a report of a male swearing and refusing to leave the Boardman Texaco. MCSO received a report of a deer hit by a car. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report o f a fight in progress with two males against one female. The female was transported to Good Shepherd Community Hospital in Hermiston, then to the Umatilla County Jail. Rebecca Jean Johnson, 37, was lodged at the jail for Assault IV, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Less than One Oz. Marijuana, with $16,000 bail. MCSO, Oregon State Police received a report of a physical and verbal dispute between a stepfa ther and stepson in Boardman. May 20: MCSO receive^, a report from a Boardman woman that her 14 year old son left at 9 p.m. without permission and could not be located. He was found. MCSO received a request for an extra patrol in Boardman for a suspicious vehicle. MCSO, Oregon State Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle in Boardman. The owner was located and said he was look ing for his cousin and uncle after having a fight with his father. MCSO received a report of a subject possibly sleeping in a ve hicle parked at Mt. Glen Apts. MCSO received a request for a deputy concerning a vehicle driv ing with no lights on. The caller had a restraining order on the sub ject. MCSO, Boardm an Police Dept., Boardman ambulance re ceived a report of a man with chest pains at an 1-84 rest stop. The patient was transported to Good Shepherd Community Hospital in Hermiston. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a request for assistance from a parent who said their 14 year old was at the park and would not come home. The juvenile was returned home but was not ex pected to stay there. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of a bag believed to contain drugs found at the Boardman Texaco. MCSO received a report of a multiple motor vehicle accident on 1-84 with a possible fatality. Pa tients were transported to Good Shepherd Community Hospital in Hermiston. MCSO received a report from a male subject that another sub ject in a vehicle was following him and made hand gestures threat ening to kill him. MCSO received a report of a bum barrel at a Heppner resi dence burning out of control. The fire was put out. MCSO received a report of an incom plete 911 call from a Heppner Main Street location. MCSO received a report from an Irrigon woman that her son was being harassed by another subject who jumped out in front of his car.
