November 3 .1 9 9 9 - SEVEN HES holds awards assembly HES carnival held photos by Sandi Day Students at Heppner Elementary School were recently recognized at an awards ceremony at the school. Stephanie Rill, Nathan Bennett and Sean Murray were recognized for being published in the Discovery book Three students from each class K-6 were selected by their teachers for their kindness, hard work and citizenship. Winners from Mrs.. Clough's and Mrs. Morris's kindergarten classes were: Kindness- Cassi Day and Garrett Gibbs; Hard worker- Zach Hintz and Justin Smith; Citizenship-Connor Pappas and Natalie Rauch. Winners from Mrs. Matteson's and Ms. Webber's first grade classes were: Kindness-Kelsie Putnum and Connor Corbin; Hard worker - Donald Matthews and Eric Chick; Citizenship - Willy Gentry and Devin Robinson Winners from Mrs. Krein's and Mrs. Calvert's second grade classes were: Kindness - Jared Huddleston and Emily Thompson; Hard worker - Tomas Elguezabal and Wacy Coil; Citizenship - Brent Eckman and Kyle Taloe. W inners from Mrs. Elguezabal's and Mrs. Osmin's third grade classes were: Kindness - Catherine Strouse and Shenlyn Peck; Hard worker - Nathan Bennett and Jordan Shephard; Citizenship - Luke Young and Maggie Armato. Winners from Mrs. Holland's and Mrs. Haguewood's fourth grade classes were: Kindness - Logan Anthony and Nacho Elguezabal; Hard worker - Jake VanDoom and Jason Wamwnght; Citizenship Whitney Matthews and Sean Murray. Winners from Mrs. Smith- Griffith's, Mrs. Gibbs', Mrs. Allen's and Mrs. Orwick's fifth and sixth grade classes were: Ashley Dima, Stephanie Burkenbine, Justin Delveaux, Veronica Wilhelm, Chelsey Foster, Stephanie Howard, Drew Pnndle, Brenda Victono, Jackie Meyer, Justin Gregory, Terrance Parrett and Heather Yocum. HES students will have an awards assembly every month throughout the school year. Boardman ambulance received a report from a man at the Boardman Manna that he couldn ’ t breathe and has a history of heart problems. The patient was trans ported to Good Shepherd Commu nity Hospital in Hermiston. MCSO, Boardman ambulance received a request from a woman to look at her knee. There was no transport made. Heppner Police Dept, received a request for an officer to report a burglary that occurred within the last hour. Heppner Police Dept, received a report of an audible alarm at Heppner Elementary School. It was a false alarm. MCSO received a report from an Irrigon woman of an earlier domestic situation between her daughter and son-in-law. The par ties were separated. Heppner Police Dept, received a request for an officer from a woman concerning a question. Heppner Police Dept, received a report of a male subject outside the Northwestern Motel who was carrying on very loudly and was possibly drunk. The man, who was earlier kicked out of the motel, was located at the Chevron sta tion. His wife was going to make arrangements for them to get a nde home. Heppner Police Dept, received a reoort from a deputy that he was flagged down and was respond ing to a possible fight in the park ing lot. Heppner Police Dept, received a request for an officer at the Northwestern Motel concerning the earlier incident. Heppner Police Dept, received a report from a woman who said a man outside her house was mak ing threats. Sept. 30: MCSO, Boardman Police and Fire depts. received a report of a vehicle fire on the 1-84 westbound ramp and Mam Street in Boardman. MCSO received a report of a sorrel horse out by Coast to Coast. MCSO received a request from the Hillsboro Police Dept, to make contact with an Imgon residence concerning a hit-and-run that oc curred in their jurisdiction. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report and request for assistance from a male subject who said a truck had tried to run into him in the Nomad Parking lot m Boardman. Heppner Police Dept, received a report of a white van with some thing on top of it at a Heppner resi dence and subjects dnnkmg alco hol. MCSO received a request for a deputy at Columbia Middle School in Imgon concerning a run away juvenile. MCSO received a request for Cyde Coil, Megan Orr, Roy Proctor and JC Sherritt at the HES carnival last week. an officer concerning trucks trav eling on Highway 730 in the dark with no lights on. MCSO deputy arrested War ren Lee Zabel, 45. Boardman, on a Multnomah County warrant for Failure to Appear/Judge Debt Exam. Zabel was lodged at the UCSOjail. He was also cited for Studded Tires Out of Season. MCSO, Boardman Police Dept., Boardman ambulance re ceived a request for an ambulance for a 10 year old female who was out by a bum barrel and some thing was thrown in that exploded. The patient was transported to Good Shepherd Community Hos pital. The object was a full can of paint. - * MCSO received.it rtppffolrk* possible heart attack. Heppner Police Dept, received a report of a possible drunk driver who has driven from Kate’s Pizza to the Northwestern Motel. The car was parked at the motel. MCSO received a report from an Imgon woman that her 10 year old niece was missing at 8:59 p.m. The child arrived home while the caller was on the phone with the sheriffs office. MCSO deputy advised he was en route to assist an ambulance with a subject with bronchitis and who was very cold. There was no transport made. MCSO deputy cited a 16 year old, a 14 year old and a 17 year old for MIP. Oct. 1: Oregon State Police received a report of an alarm at Cascade Specialties. It was an employee error. MCSO. Oregon State Police received a report of vandalism at the scale office on Tower Road There was no deputy available to respond so the caller requested the Oregon State Police. Oregon State Police received a report of a non-injury motor ve hicle accident north of Lexington. MCSO received a request for a deputy concerning a missing child. The caller said the mother has the child. Boardman ambulance received a request for an ambulance for a male subject. The patient was transported to Good Shepherd Community Hospital in Hermiston. MCSO received a report of a blue car traveling at a high rate of speed in Boardman. The deputy warned the driver. MCSO. Boardman ambulance received a report of a male sub ject dead in the back of a vehicle on 1-84. The man was just sleep ing. Oregon State Police, Heppner Police Dept, received a report of a missmg/endangered person in a car headed toward Heppner on Highway 74. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of a purse found along the highway near the ditch in Boardman. MCSO received a request for an extra patrol for hunters speed ing through Lexington. MCSO received a request for a house check in Irrigon MCSO received a request for an officer concerning a domestic dispute. MCSO received a report from an Irrigon man that his grandson was bitten three times by a dog. The child was taken by private vehicle to Good Shepherd Com munity Hospital in Hermiston. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a request for an officer from a man concerning his daugh ter. MCSO received a report of loud music in Boardman. MCSO received several re ports of campfires by hunters by the Blake Ranch turnoff. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of loud music com ing from a little white car. Boardmap Police Dept, re ceived a request for an officer from a woman concerning kids playing football in her yard. MCSO received a report of a purse stolen from a car parked at the Legion Hall in lone. Oregon State Police received a report of windows broken out of a car while it was parked at the 1-84 eastbound rest area in Boardman. The owner left the car to go fishing. MCSO received a report of a possible theft o f a motorized scooter. MCSO received a report from a man who said his ex-wife is late picking up the kids and she called and sounded like she was on something. The kids were sleep ing and the man was expecting trouble. Oct. 2: Oregon State Police received a report of a flatbed pickup hauling watermelons that was all over the road on 1-84. Heppner Police Dept, received a request for an officer from a man who wanted som ething looked at at his residence. Medic 3 received a report that a man transported to Good Shep herd Community Hospital in Hermiston had left his glasses. Heppner Police Dept, received a request for an officer to explain a restraining order. MCSO received a report of five cows out on Columbia Lane Oregon State Police received a report of a vehicle trespassing on property in Fuller Canyon. Hunters were welcome but no vehicles were allowed. MCSO, Boardm an Police Dept, received a report of loud music sounding like a party in Boardman. MCSO received another report of a loud party in Boardman. An gel Chavez was cited for viola tion of a county ordinance. Oct. 3: City of Heppner re ceived a report of a broken water main at a Heppner residence. MCSO, Heppner Fire Dept., CBEC received a report of a pole line down at a ranch. MCSO received a report of a verbal domestic dispute in Imgon. Heppner Police Dept, received a report of a burglar alarm at Les Schwab Tire Center in Heppner. The building was secure. MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a request for an officer for a domestic dispute that had just occurred. MCSO received a report from a man in Lexington that while he was visiting neighbors, his es tranged wife had taken the keys out of his vehicle and locked it up. MCSO received a report of a civil problem. A woman said she had gone to an apartment to re trieve her things and a man wouldn’t let her. lone Fire Dept, received a re port of a controlled bum out of control on McNab Lane. MCSO received a report of a puppy chewed up by the neighbor’s greyhound in Irrigon. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of a burglary alarm at Riverside High School. It was a false alarm. Oregon State Police, Board- man Police Dept, and Gilliam County Sheriff s Office received a report that a couple drove off from the Arlington BP station in separate vehicles and forgot their two year old son. An officer was unable to locate the parents. The call was transferred to the Boardman Police Dept. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report from a woman that the neighbors are videotaping ev erything they do. MCSO received a report of a pickup broken into in Lexington and a Remington 30-06 rifle was stolen. MCSO deputy arrested Jose Medina. Jr., 31, Boardman. for Failure to AppearUUII He was also arrested on probable cause for Possession of a Forged Instru- ment-C Felony and cited for Un lawful Use of Lighting. Driving while License Suspended infrac tion and Driving Uninsured Medina was lodged at the UCSO jail. Heppner ambulance received a request for an ambulance for a man with severe back pain. The patient was transported to Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Heppner MCSO received a report of loud music in Irrigon Grant County received a report of a 49 year old man reported missing at Bull Prairie at 11 47 p.m. He was to be back at the campsite at dark. Oct. 4: Oregon State Police received a report of a vehicle that spun out on 1-84 and was hanging over the side of the freeway. It was a non-injury accident. Heppner Police Dept, received a request for a welfare check for a man at the fairgrounds whose mother passed away. Hermiston Police Dept, ar rested Billie Charles Kimberlein on a Heppner Justice Court war rant for Failure to Pay Fine/Ha- rassment. He was released due to overcrowding. MCSO received a report of Locust Road in Boardman closed to vehicles for road construction. MCSO received a report of a headlight shot out by a pellet gun in Imgon and received a request for a deputy.
