Andrea is the daughter of Archie and Diana Ball, Heppner. She graduated from Heppner High School in 1986, Mt. Hood Community College, Portland, in 1989, Portland State University in 1992 and Idaho State University, Pocatello, ID, in 1997. She is currently completing her master's internship at Idaho State. Fletcher’s parents are Carolyn Fletcher, Pendleton, and the late Bill Fletcher. He graduated from Pendleton High School, the University of Oregon, Eugene, in 1993 and Idaho State University in 1997. He is employed as an accounting instructor at Idaho State. The couple plans a September 27 wedding at Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands. FAX Paper Gazette-Times 676-9228 St. Patrick's Senior Center ___ Bulletin Board Even though the seniors find it difficult to get across the street to the Post Office, they enjoy watching the construction activities from the front windows of the center. The senior dinner and breakfast have been well attended in spite of the problems of getting around town. Main Street will look so great when the project is finished. There were 78 present for the senior dinner Aug. 20, and nine meals were home delivered. Members of the Hope and Valby Lutheran churches served. The menu for the Labor Day dinner Sept. 3 will be barbecued hamburger, pasta salad, cottage cheese with fruit and watermelon. Members of the lone United Church of Christ will serve. The Nutrition Site Committee will meet at 1 p.m. Hearing aid assistance will be given at 10 a.m. and blood pressufes taken at 11 a.m. A small coin purse was found in front of the Senior Center before the dinner Aug. 20. It may be claimed at the center office, after giving the receptionist the description of the purse. Thirty were present for the breakfast Aug. 22, and three meals were home delivered. The menu for breakfast Aug. 29 will be waffles, fruit, hot and cold cereal, orange juice, milk, coffee and tea. The breakfast Sept. 5 will be quiche, fruit, hot and cold cereal, juice, milk, tea and coffee. Two tables of pinochle were in play Friday afternoon, Aug. 22. Seven seniors watched the movie, "Shine", Sunday evening. There is a sign up sheet for the bus trip to the Pendleton Round-Up. Those wishing to go may sign up in the office, or call 676-9030. car wash and hope to upgrade more in the next few years. Next year they plan on installing a new dollar bill changer and within the next several years hope to put in a foamy brush system, which will add an additional $5,500 in improvements. In April the Millers plan to tear out the current truck bay, on the outside of the car wash and pour new concrete. The Millers, who purchased the car wash seven years ago, say that they believe the facility hasn't been upgraded in about 20 years. The car wash also has a new yard light which will be on all night. Lights will be on in the vacuum and washing bays until 11 p.m. Cost is 75 cents for a car wash; $1 for vacuuming; and $2.50 for shampooing. Anyone needed quarters to use the car wash facility may go to Miller's Mini Mart. The Millers have owned the gas station and convenience store in Heppner since 1988.
