During the course at Marine Corps Engineer School, Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, NC, students studied the in spection, maintenance and repair of engineering and earth moving equipment used by the Marine Corps. He also receiv ed instruction on gasoline and diesel engine troubleshooting, hydraulic, clutch and brake systems and related repair shop safety measures. Zahm is the son of Helen Bliss, Irrigon. He joined the Marine Crops in March, 1992. Navy Seaman Recruit Laura L. Wanner, daughter of Arlene Pritchard of Irrigon recently com pleted basic training at Recruit Training Command, Orlando, FL. During the cycle, recruits are taught general military subjects leppner designed to prepare them for fur ther academic and on-the-job training in one of the Navy's 85 occupational fields. Studies include seamanship, close-order drill, naval history and first aid.
