Students in grades two through eight were recognized for participation in special programs and academic contests and for academic ex cellence and effort. Refreshments were provided following the assembly by the Parents' club. The following students were recognized for their achievements during the 1991-92 school year. Full time students who achieve a grade-point average of at least 3.5 or better are eligible for the dean’s honor roll. Creighton is an independent Catholic university at Omaha, Nebraska, operated by the Jesuits. It has an enrollment of approximately 6,000. Creighton enrolls students in the colleges of arts and sciences and business ad ministration, the graduate school, university college, and schools of nursing, medicine, law, phar macy and allied health profes sions, dentistry and summer sessions. Troedson winners Morrow County fourth grade winners The selection committee for the Carl W. Troedson Educational Fund awarded grants-in-aid in the amount of $1,000 to 13 Morrow County seniors during graduation week. Receiving scholarships from lone High School were: Nancy M orter, Eric Orem, Kari Morgan, Amy Pointer, Brandi Ball, Brent Sheirbon and Kristine Bedortha; H eppner High: Kimberly Johnston; Riverside High: Jana Mounts, Richard Cole, Amie Keizur, Brandon Suchy and Laurel Glenn. Chisana Warren and Heidi Nelson of lone High School were alternates. These grants are awarded from a fund provided by the Last Will and Testament of Mr. Troedson, a prominent wheat rancher of the lone area. These students will be eligible to apply for renewal of their grants in the following years of their college or training programs provided that they maintain good academic standing during their first year of post high school study. The selection committee con sists of the Morrow County School District Superintendent, the Pastor of the Valby Lutheran Church, and the Morrow Coun ty Judge, as specified in Mr. Troedson’s will.
