Publishers Letters to the Editor Farm bureau meeting February 18 To the Rdtlor In November I hud the privilege ot being .1 delegate to the Oregon I arm Bureau annual meeting held in Portland and enjoyed it ver> mu.h as I have many others I ’ ve attended over the years There were several good speakers in.hiding Clinton Reeder of the Wheat league and others on items of interest and per taming to problems and ideas relating to agriculture I arm Bureau works much on legislative matters on both state and national levels as well as many other items attesting or in solving farmers and tjrm problems I be organization has often been call ed the wul.hdog lor agriculture There w ». much discussion at the meeting from farm er* from all over the state and while there was sometimes strong disagreement Disband LCDC among some on the issues wc lecl that overall it was a very good and informative session For many years the members o f both Morrow and I inatilla Counties have been united in one group known as l inatilla and M orrow County Farm Bureau meeting in Pendleton but now it looks like time to divide with each county having a separate meeting so there w ill be a meeting and dinner in lleppner February I 8 to try and set up a M> r row County group and elect officers and tend to other organizational business Ibc meeting w ill be a dinner meeting at I p m on Sunday.
