Morrow County deputy assisted Hojrdmun l\>l»ce Department with a Driving Under the Influence of In toxicants arrest in Board man. Morrow County deputy contacted Irrigon area resident in reference to an animal problem. A p ril 18 M orrow County Sheriff s office dispatched the Hcpp ncr Fire department to a reported wood pile fire at 300 Chase St ; Morrow County Sh e riff» office dispatched the Heppner Fire depart ment to the area of Skaggs Auto Clinic where a tree stump was reported on fire April 19 Morrow County deputy responded to Kunre Riud in Board- man to investigate an unknown illness A p ril 20: M orrow County Sheriff s office dispatched the A rl ington Fire department to 1-84, milepost 134 to a small fire in me dian The fire department unable to locate. was Morrow County Sheriff s office and Heppner Police department responded to investigate report of a vehicle parked by the barricade at Willow Creek Dam No one was around the vehicle and it was secured There was evidence of a camper in the area, subjects were contacted; Morrow County deputy respond ed to report of receiving threatening mail Victim complainant contacted, investigation is continuing. A p ril 21 Morrow County deputies responded to Cemetery Road east of irngon to investigate a report of shots fired near the canal Everything was O K when deputies arrived. Morrow County deputy respond ed to a report of an assault involv ing two people in the Irngon area Complainant's glasses were broken Motrow County deputy anempted to locate a vehicle reported as a possi ble drunk driver eastbound on I 84 Vehicle was unable to locate April 22 Morrow County deputy responded to back up Hoardman M ic e department at report of a fight in progress at a business Two pen pic were involved. Morrow County deputy respond ed to Dry Fork area to investigate a report of a one »chicle accident In vestigation is continuing; Morrow County Sheriff» office relayed information to Washington Stale Police of a one vehicle accident with injuries reported to be in the Alder Road area Morniw County Sheriff» office responded to the Irrigon area to in vcsligatc a family disturbance fhcre was no action taken, problem was resolved. Morrow County deputies assisted one disabled motorists As I drove through the rolling hill» of Heppner this a m I determined that it's much more relaxing to be a 16 mile commuter in rural eastern Oregon than in a metropolitan area The drive gives one a chance to get some perspective on their life and to try to sort out the tumble "upstairs " A fresh »now tall capped the moun tains.
