January 14 The fire d -u p Heppner team jumped out to a 17-10 lead at the end o f the first period The Mustangs were led hy Bryan Padberg and Dick Devin with eight and seven points respectively. Wasco County and Heppner played an even second period as they only scored 11 points each Hepp^ ncr went into the locker room with a 28 21 lead Padhcrg paced the Mustangs in the third quarter scoring 11 points as Heppner s lead grew hy three over the Redvides The Mustangs closed the door on Wasco Ciainly the final penod, scor ing 23 points and in doing so won their third CBC game Padhcrg lit up the score hoard scoring 32 points and also getting five steals Russell Brin dished out 10 assists while Dick Devin pulled down nine rebounds for the v ic torious Mustangs Heppner w ith a 3-1 record w ill travel to Athena January 20. to take on the W eston-M cKwcn Tiger- Scots The Mustangs w ill host the Fogles from Wahtonka Saturday.
