Hoping to bridge the emotional gap when a child is placed into foster care. Sue Warren of the Morrow County Childrens Services division (CSD) has staned an experimental program called Officer Bear Care Donated teddy bears will be plat, cd into the antes of a child to hug and hold as the child is placed into a foster home "W e will tell the child he will be the foster mommy or dad dy for that bear," said Warren, also foster home certifier for Wheeler and Gilliam Counties "It is such an intense time for a child, wc are hoping these teddy bears will make the situation more tolerable," she said The program will spread to Gilliam and Wheeler counties if the program does well, according to Warren "If we get a hunch.” said War ren. "w e would even share with mental health and the different law enforcement agencies."
